Looks like Maroons set for a 5th straight series win.

Game over for the Blues.

I love Gids, but he has been disappointing tonight..hardly been involved the whole night but Hayne > FB. He'll have to be benched.
 
NSW are officially the most pathetic team in the entire competition of any competition

That was just purely disgusting gameplay by the blues. They deserve to be shot.
 
I'd still have Kurt there, to say he wasn't involved is wrong. Lyon and Kimmorley done nothing out there, they have been non existent since the first 20. All we're doing is Ennis to our runners and hit up. That would be good but our runners look sluggish and tired. No mixing it up or giving our backs a chance to run.

The role Gidley plays in Newcastle is so different to the way hes playing in the Blues side. It just doesnt suit his style of playing. But tbh no one has been great in the Blues side....they have tried hard just that Maroons are just all over the top of them.
 
Hayne was caught out too many times on his side, I couldn't understand taking Tahu from the right where he was all over Inglis and putting him on the left? Cooper is a has been. Kurt played alot better when he was demanding the ball like he did for us in the halves. Maybe they need to move Hayne to fullback, gidley to 6 and Lyon to centre. Madness I know, but in the dying stages of tonight Kurt seemed to take more control than Kimmorley and Lyon.

Ha. your motherf*cking joking right. Gidley was one of the best on the field for the blues tonight, agruing the best. Hayne was absolutley ****. If anything Gidley shouldnt be at Fb cos he is underused, Either 5/8th or Hooker. Hayne should be dropped.
 
Im not joking, I love Gids as a player but seriously Hayne was the one who created something out of nothing tonight...Yes he was exposed on the wing but thats not where he plays.

I dont mind seeing Gids in the halves, there was no stand out in the NSW side and i know Gids was trying hard, cant say he was the best because there was not one 'good' player but the way he Gids plays at FB just doesnt suit Origin.

The thing wrong with NSW is they keep changing the side, the Maroons are so sucessful because they have stuck with the same team and they have that combination. The QLD side are just too good.
 
By something out of nothing, do you mean throughing the ball over the sideline instead of too the player????

I can see how the selectors are justified when all but one or 2 look like absolutle ****. i bunch of 6 yr old could beat them.

They never should have chosen some of those players to start with. Absolutley pathetic.

Oh as for seeing Gids in the halves, he should be there for all 80 minutes. Lyons and Kimmorley did diddly squat and then in the last bit of the game when Gidley was up in the halves he started to dominate.
 
Gids looked really sharp in the last 15 - 20 minutes playing at 1st / 2nd receiver. NSW played better when he was there. You're right Hayne got caught out on the edge to much... But you can't drop him, just play him in position. From how Gids looked, give him a go at 5/8 and push Lyon out in to the centres. (What have they got to loose trying something different) Thats just mho opinion anyway.
 
True, Hayne plays better at fullback, so play him there. Drop Lyon and play Cooper and J Morris in the Centres.

I really think Soward should be playing tho. How they can say these no good 5.8ths avalible when he's around is beyond me,
 
Our fowards got dominated out there. I thought Hayne was bad, probably cost us the game with him constantly coming off the wing and conceding two tries down his side. Gidley looked sharp and does not deserve the bagging some of you are giving him. I just can not stand it when people blame the loss on Gids when Hayne cost us the game with his pass over the sideline, those of you that didn't see, if he found Idris we would of scored. I thought Lyon was quite good tonight also.
 
Gids was probably the only person trying. Certainly looked like it. Again give him big wraps for tonight. Rest of NSW sucked.

C'mon mate, where's the famous NSW pride??? Face up!!

Gids was OK but Slater, Lockyer, Thurston combo ran the show all night. Even Thaiday was playing like a 13.

Weyman was OK but I couldn't give you another standout forward. Lyon/Kimmorley were nondescript, I expected better from Lyon. The whole game was waiting for Idris to get on the field. He should have started, Hayne at 1, Gids as impact on the bench (although if we'd known then what we know now, Gids would have started in the halves.

Disappointed overall. Qld might get the 5th in a row if Cam Smith comes back in at 9.
