Who would have thought before the series started that Hussey's batting would be keeping Aus in the series.

Mind you, who would have thought that back to back hundreds by Harbhajan Singh would save India from defeat in the first two tests against NZ. :lol:

There was a tight single in there, and Katos hesitated. If he gunned it he could have made it. If you ask me, it was early in the day and there was no need to push for tight singles. He could have made it had he backed up and sprinted but i blame watson.

Just go in and have a slog. No tactics at all. I've read Shane Bond's book recently and he said they are soul-destroying for bowlers and he really couldn't care less about his record in that form of the game.

Honestly, try really watching a test match, for as much of the five days as possible, I can't see how you could not love the tactics, changes in momentum and ebbs and flows throughout.

The next best thing is a one dayer, they are also a good watch. 2020s just totally bore me as a spectator in comparison.

100% agree. I don't mind T20's but how anyone that knows cricket can rate them over tests is astonishing. Twenty 20's are all about batting, which is good seeing big hits but there is so many more tactics and strategic batting and bowling in tests, like you mentioned then.

Eh as much as 20/20 is a slog , a great bowler could maintain a good economy regardless eg..McGrath .

He was just as great for Delhi Daredevils at the age of 40 . I know you can't really compare because for test matches you need more concentration and more stamina but it does take a special skill to be good in 20/20 .

Let's see how the track goes today. Apparently, Michael Holding used to like being able to bowl at Adelaide on days 1 - 3. Yesterday went our way but we can't be complacent.

I think that wouldn't work, Australia has deeper problems. That one player couldn't fix.... The way we are playing forfeit may be the answer.....

The way we have played this summer Bangladesh could beat us!!!
 
So... last 12 innings by Clarke reads:

28, 63, 47, 12, 3, 77, 14, 4, 14, 3, 9, 2

Last 6 innings against top teams England & India he has been missing in action.

I cant see him scoring a 50 this summer, let alone a big score against England.

I think the problem started when they moved him from #5 to #4?
 
We are hopeless. Clarke must go next match, that misfield he made just before Harris' last wicket was absolutely disgraceful. Hang your head in shame. :notgood:

Now the bloody cricket team aren't any better then my local side. Can't see their rank being higher then 4th for a while. I actually think it will go down even further.
