Solid win. 1st half was excellent and the 2nd scrappy. Did enough to win though.

Was really impressed with Glasby he was making important metre when the Dogs were on top.

Fitzy and Saifiti are also strong. Was really impressed with Watson’s defence as well he’s improved a lot.

Really should of have the game won by half time.
We put the cue in the rack like we had it won still.
Refs made some shocking calls for both teams.

Scrappy is an understatement. But yes it feels kind of okay to be complete **** for a half and still win and not fold like we usually do like that game at belmore two years ago.

In regards to safiti i didnt think he got involved enough which i think he has been guilty of in the past. All his carries were strong but he only had 5 runs for 55m both herman and gavet played less minutes than him and herman ran for 150m and gavet 100m.

I thought we picked up when he came back on. Could definitely do more though.

Good to get a win.
Good first half, sloppy 2nd.
Ordinary job by the refs for both teams, they were consistently rubbish so neither team got the advantage.
Watching the game I thought Dan had a great game and had good strong runs at the right time. I'm very suprised he only ran 55m.

I think dan sometimes takes a back seat to the more senior players sometimes. Like i said he carries were really strong but sometimes he needs to get himself more involved IMO he is our best forward behind klemmer he just needs to believe it. I think it was against parra last year when our senior forwards were out injured he took on the leadership role and ran close to 200m.
 
That 2nd half was atrocious. Boys need a belting even though we win. Can't have halves like that and expect to beat good sides. First half was good but not great. Dogs spreading was getting easy metres. Line speed was really crap at times. A win is a win though.
 
At a guess Hermans metres came after halftime and getting a blast about running direct, shows what he really can do.
Saf could be better than Klem, different styles of attack. Klem goes for the PCM's whereas Saf just hits the line hard. Defensively also, Saf goes in hard most of the time whereas Klem just want to stop them.
 
Bulldogs forwards were impressive, Tolman, Jackson etc...

1-7 and bench is a bit whatever and full of errors and missed tackles

I agree in part,
Dan is all about that first contact and winning it, though he can march 5 meters also.
Really excited by the back end of the year for players like Dan Saf, Sione at lock, Pearce in control and Watson getting in the groove of the 6 jumper as a running option.
 
I think had Bulldogs not taken the intercept we were on our way to a big win. Regardless so many times in the past we were run down after leading yet we always looked the better side. I was sitting at the Knights end of the ground so saw good our defence was and the Bulldogs really did throw a lot at us

Very true,

After the media hype and fans expectations to go 1W 5L and the coaching staff plus players to nuckle down and follow the plan with intent is credit to all.
Still some tough losses ahead but the corrugated road is startin to smooth out.
 
After the Dragons performance today I'm pretty confident for next week.
The last 2 week's they have started really strong and then fallen off completely.
If we can match their start we should win comfortably.
