SHARKS v KNIGHTS

3pm AEDT Saturday at Southern Cross Group Stadium

Sharks:

No changes expected for the Sharks. Valentine Holmes should retain his spot at fullback and James Segeyaro will again start the match on the bench.

Knights:

Mitch Barnett and five-eighth Brock Lamb are both carrying injuries and in doubt for the Sharks clash while hooker Danny Levi and interchange forward Jacob Saifiti will both need to get through concussion protocols to play.

Veteran Anthony Tupou is a big chance of debuting for the Knights against his former club while Jaelen Feeney trained in Lamb’s spot on Monday and is the likely replacement if Lamb is ruled out.

The Knights will have fullback Brendan Elliot available after he missed the big loss to Penrith while car crash victim Pauli Pauli is poised to make his first appearance this season in the lower grade after fully recovering from a dislocated hip.

I've always thought Hodko and Feeney would make a good halves combination, but now we are faced with it, it looks like a good reserve grade combination.
Feeney's only decent FG performance was playing pivot outside Hodkinson last year against Parramatta.
Hope Lamb makes it but if he doesn't at least there's abit of hope.

Good to hear Pauli is ready to get on the field again!! Heres hoping he comes out all guns blazing and is pushing for a first jumper within 2wks.

We really need him to.

It's excellent news that Pauli Pauli will play in the lower grade. He should be good for us when he is match fit.

Yeah it's does tend to get forgotten that Feeney did have a decent performance in first grade in his natural position. I hope he goes well for us this year, I think there's still something there that we can use in first grade.

Barnett and Lamb are going to be big losses if they don't recover in time. Both are replaceable but they're both better than anyone who does. This is going to get real ugly very quickly.

Wasn't he taken off as a precaution of a knocked shoulder? he should be fine for Saturday...

I know a lot of u guys don't like fez but wouldn't u give pearsell a go at 58 instead of feeney

You guys do have to be dyed in the wool Feeney supporters to see anything positive in him. I thought his defence in the 5/8 games was extremely suspect last year, and other coaches started running guys at him and destroyed him.

Geez, walking wounded, this game could be anything.

A shame we are going to have to rough games leading in to a potentially winable game against the dogs at home.

A slightly better backline now and would only be a better backrow if Barnett plays but that's about it.

We are in trouble that's for sure.
