Round 4: Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders - Hunter Stadium

Uate was MOTM wasn't he? ;)

Yeah, I was spewing lols over Tyrone's voice. He'd be a great mate to have, constantly laughing over his voice.

Sorry Tyrone, that was mean.

Roberts sounds identical to Sandow I reckon, just a bit more husky

Btw I had a dream about Cuthbertson last year, I really wanted to play under Bennett but there were no spots in the team so Cuthbo gave his up for me and we shared one of these embraces and became best mates

Well ever since then I've had a special creep bond with Cuthbo lol so I was very delighted for his 2 tries on Sunday, so proud!!!!

Lol he shouldn't have tried to run over the most glorious man in the NRL

As Bedsy said, he was only bracing himself for impact. It's not his fault their heads collided

Yeah, both those refs have been dropped this week for not giving the penalty to the Raiders over Bedsy's shoulder charge, and for not giving them a penalty over the Wighton Uate collision.

Both very poor calls, we were lucky! We should be counting our lucky stars Buderus got off scott free.

Refs report said no penalty for Uate on Wighton, that was OK.

The shoulder charge though, haha. Not sure why Don Furner in whinging so hard tbh. A penalty on their own 5 metre line was hardly going to change the course of the game when they got beat comprehensively.

If ferguson had of stayed stayed layed down then its a different story with Danny more than likely missing a game or two. I despise that Brett suttor, he is so smug.

He did stay down quite a while!

Yeah, even though the calls went our way, I'm happy to see them both dropped.

Slotmachine, this is what I was going off saying they were both wrong, but there's no direct quotes from Anderson, so it might be inaccurate. http://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/8499010/NRL-referees-stood-down-for-missing-incidents

No doubt if that was our player and he broke his cheekbone or whatever the hell Ferguson claims to have done... Then we'd be pretty filthy too! The refs did stuff up that one no doubt.

However I believe in karma and I think Ferguson deserved more of a layoff for his involvement in the Dugan saga so meh.

Think he will stay sober while he is injured ??? He did impose a "Booze Ban" last week on himself .... wonder if he will stick with it ??

What happens if an attacking player charges into the line, drops his shoulder into the defending player, heads clash and the defender fractures his head ? Nothing nor should it. How about we all take our skirts off and put the lippy back in our purse, bring back the shoulder charge and get on with playing rugby league how it was meant to be played. Buderus V Ferguson on almost the same blade of grass as Chief V Mr Potato Head. One incident goes down in History as one of the heaviest clashes ever the other get's disected by people looking for why it should have been a penalty and how long should Buderus get. The World wide popularity of the UFC shows how much people like bodies colliding. Our sport is played by some of the toughest athletes to draw breath. Instead of trying to tame the way the game is played promote the collisions and the toughness that make rugby league the greatest and toughest game out there. Obviously player's well being is a concern but more players get put out of the game because of knee injuries than shoulder charges. What next ? NRL Touch footy ?

He might have to drink his pink Breezers through a straw.

I haven't been on this forum for a looooong time, but I was in the front row of the seats on the northern side of the stadium. The Raiders had some very vocal fans behind me, I had a headache after a while. The game was great but in my opinion, we didn't play at our best in the first half, the second half however, we blew them away. The fan behind me was very quiet after that. Cuthbertson played a great game, 2 tries he deserved them. Uate played alright, his try was great but a few errors, Roberts outstanding again, with his dummy he is lethal. I got a photo with all the players except for Uate, Boyd and Scott after the game. I also met Toka LikiLiki, BJ Leilua and Josh Mantellato after the NSW Cup game. They were downstairs and I went down there to get my mates members cap. Toka remembers me from when I used to chat to him on Twitter. Anyways, all-in-all, great game, bring on the next home game, 5.30pm Saturday round 6 against Panthers. We have NSW, Holden Cup and NRL on that day. Be there or be square. I'll finish my ramble now with UP THE MIGHTY KNIGHTS.
Walrus.

walrus, was Bj looking fit or like he needs a few matches under his belt, I remember when we signed him he looked like a bloated mess

FJ, BJ was not looking incredibly fit, still chubby haha, bit of work for him left I think. But I reckon he could still play, just not the full 80. Give him a NSW Cup start I reckon.
