Round 3 NRL Discussion *Contains Spoilers*

DARREN Lockyer has withdrawn from tonight's Queensland blockbuster against the Cowboys with a knee injury.

The Broncos made the decision not to risk Lockyer around midday and news of his withdrawal has sparked a betting plunge on North Queensland.

TAB Sportsbet has wound the Cowboys from $2.65 to $2.25 due to the rush of money for the outsiders. Lockyer has played just two games, both off the bench, following his off-season knee reconstruction.

Test fullback Karmichael Hunt has also been ruled out of the blockbuster clash with the North Queensland Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.

Hunt failed a fitness test on his bruised knee. He will be replaced at the back by young speedster Denan Kemp.

Hunt had been free to face the Cowboys after convincing the judiciary this week that he didn't intend to shoulder charge Braith Anasta.

Did you guys just see that hit on Ben Hannant? How great was that? LOL Its like he played that game where you spin around while looking at a spot on the ceiling.

Pretty shocking that he stayed on the field though.

That cowboys bronx game was extremely physical tonight, Hannent and sims kept putting on hit after hit.

Cowboys, early wooden spoon contenders? you'd think they would avoid it with the talent they got, but they havnt exactly started like a house on fire.

I think they do have quality players outside of JT and Bowen ; Payne,Cashmere, Burns, O'donnell, They are just playing absolutely shi*. It's like they come out defeated before they even start playing.

The off field drama within the coaching staff etc is strongly affecting the Cowboys. And last year they had one of the worst defensive records and havent fixed it.

I'm going to the Rabbitohs v Panthers game tomorrow, nothing spectacular with the game, it's local and I'm going to take my old man down there seen as though he supports the red and green.

Hoping that it ends up being a good game.

I might go, expecting a crowd of 6000.

(Last week was 7000) :-k

Well my sister is working there so I thought why not.

Hard to say with the crowd, last week was against Canberra who in all honesty don't get alot of fans to away games, not to mention lousy weather plus the easter show being on.

If it's fairly sunny the crowd should be around the 10k mark, anything below that and it's a disaster for Penrith having two weeks in a row below 10k.
