I would like to see Hoy given the next few games at 5/8, he could be the player we need.

Mann has been good as a running 6, and was excellent today… Hoy has a bit to go before he's a first grader. Team's will work out his show and go pretty quick.

That may be true but Mann let in a soft try as well as kill momentum so many times throughout the game. His kicking game was beyond ordinary. Midfield bombs that went only 10m or were not high enough where no chaser was able to get within 10m of the panther catching the ball. He might as well of done a 30m spiral pass to the fullback all game as handover of possession.

I wouldn't say Mann was excellent, but he did do a few good things, he had a few good runs and a good catch and pass to put best over, Hoy and Mann scored that try Best just fell over the line. But he also made a meal of the last opportunity we had at the end and a few attacking raids fell apart over there, I don't know if that is all Mann or just a disrupted squad.

If Watson is out next week Mann to bench. Hoy to 5/8th and Mcullogh to start. Not bagging Randall but that's how I'd go.
Well it was a pretty flat feeling getting the draw after coming within a bees wang of winning and having poor goal kicking hurt us but the Panthers also had their chances I guess and having missed all those field goals.
I would rather having the feeling of drawing a match we could have easily lost then have drawn a match we should have won like the Panthers.
One big thing I noticed...even in the dressing rooms beforehand was how ripped Sione was...hanging out with the Sharks/Bronson?
It was definitely a good test of the teams depth after not having a few key forwards and having your main playmaker being Kurt freaking Mann.
Ballsy call putting Best in but looks like it paid off and he probably won’t be losing his spot any time soon. To think the Sharks are paying Ramien 500k while three of ours are probably on less then that put together and we are getting more out of them lol.
There will probably be a few things O’Brien points out in the video sessions but the guy can coach and manage if that game is anything to go by.

Doubt it. Mann is no certainty to stay at 6, and that's Hoy's spot for the taking IMO.

If he could only play fullback it would be a good move for him to go elsewhere, but he has played fullback, wing, centre, 5/8 and even a game or 2 at halfback. O'Brien has said a few times that he would make a good bench utility like Watson as well.
We can find a spot for him.
Next week he could take Hunt's place on the wing, Mann's place at 5/8, Ponga's place at fullback or Watson's place on the bench and he would pull it off fine.

Wow what an effort! The grit to hang and take it to golden point made me feel so proud of how they handled themselves today. Mann needs to be swapped for lino. Don't even care if his a "halfback". Miles better player. Best backs himself there, we win.

One of the best performances I’ve ever seen from the Knights. And didn’t even get the two points. But the one feels like a win for me and certainly feel the boys will feel that way. The value in that defense and resilience will have this group fighting for each other for a long time to come. That’s what excites me the most. So so proud. Re Mann; I’ve never been a fan of him at 5/8 but credit where credit’s due, he played his heart out today and played 110% to the best of his ability. The problem for him and us is that he has a fairly low ceiling as a playmaker. Good on him for stepping up in Juniors absence and showing some quality leadership. Hoy will eventually take his place. He appears to have a very decent kicking game. Randall!! What a legend. Sione was a monster. Best a future star and Edrick in my opinion one of our best pick ups in years. Love it!!!

yeah he will have a role for us this season. Sounds Like Crossland is being groomed for 5/8. Hoy won’t want to be a utility for the next few years. Broncos will have an interest in signing him, they need a fullback.
Probably not, but I mean longer term. That said, Obi swapped Shibs out unexpectedly this week, so I wouldn't be surprised if Mann is dropped. Harsh call on him if that happens next week though.
