In everyone's defence who are actually looking forward to next season (myself included) when you go to see a side each week perform so inconsitently, it's awfully hard to maintain the 'happy days' approach - win lose or draw.

And to say your a true supporter compared to others is just ridiculous.

The 2012 line has been brought out after just about every loss post-Bennett signing. Im not sure if its in the heat of the moment after a loss or not, but its not showing the support of the current team and coach that you'd expect, especially one who is still in the finals hunt.

Im still looking forward to 2012, but in no way do I think about it during or directly after games. I support whats in front of me. Like with the poor completetion rate tonight I wasnt thinking "Can't wait until Bennett gets here, he wont have any of that", because in the end its up to the players to hold onto the ball, and make the passes, things we know they are all capable of. I was hoping they'd turn it around, and play much better football.

1. In all honesty why did Sau play? Stone said he wanted him to be 100% honest about his fitness.

2. Since when has tackling a player without the ball been a sin bin? Especially that far from the line anyway.

3. Gids is a bit of a choker.

4. We need to show more respect for the ball and less for the opposition.

Hopefully results go our way or we just win the next 2.

Sau was fine, he didn't go off because of his hammy, he rolled his ankle. Also you spelt Mullen wrong.

Sorry that comparison was probably a bit unjustified. I just hate people talking down the current team. you cant say they any one of them isnt putting in 100% every week. sure they are inconsistent, and they have their flaws, but lets get behind them.

I really hope round 26 is a sell out, cause it will be an awesome day to cheer us into the finals. Our current team still being in contention for the finals is a real achievement, so lets embrace it, rather than talk it down.

On a separate note, the brass band sounds terrible, surely there are better options than that?

the last game should be good as long as we dont dish up **** like tonight and south players dont take dives or milk penalties

Might jump on the bandwagon and say it was all Jarrod Mullen's fault.
Crap performance, pathetic reffing in the 1st half, but you can't blame them for the loss.

No i am ****ed too, i spend my money, get wet and cold to watch a team of first graders drop the ball every 3rd or 4th tackle (or 1st) to me its communication, there isnt much going on out there at all! Got my cranky pants on gonna go to bed and calm down in a few days and pray the bulldogs dont care anymore!

2. since forever. It was a professional foul because they looked like scoring. It was always going to be a penalty sin bin.

3. Gids was probably the best on field today?

Uh well that was dissapointing! We can never seem to perform against top 8 teams, i'm starting to think we shouldn't be in there and the way we're playing we're not going to be. I expected more from the boys tonight, but I guess you have to add in the slippery conditions, stil 19000+ and the finals so close and we're only hanging by a thread to keep in the 8, I really expected to see a better performance.

I could see the force if it was definitely going to be a try. Reed would still have had some work to do.

Gids still had a few of his typical 'origin errors' though

I'm sorry but this just has to be said. Just logged on so havent read any other comments yet so if this has been said i apologise.

Tonight the knights had everything to play for. They knew souths were on their tails and they knew a win would put us 2 points clear of them. I have and always will support the team but tonight they choked big time. The team need a kick up the *** and need to be fired up at the start of the game and be prepared to go the distance for the full 80mins and overtime if neeeded be. We made stupid school boy errors and our shutting down of the opposition's offloads we're pathetic. I thought the refs performance was terrible but i'm only worried about what the knights can control.

I will never give up on the team and will be driving down to see them play the bulldogs this week coming but they need to start competing with the big teams and have the intensity at the start of every single match. One simple word that describes the knights performance tonight FRUSTRATING.

Come on knights, get your act together and lets make these bloody finals.

If it was going to be a try it would have been a penalty try. That's why it was only a sinbinning, because there was still work to do. A professional foul is when you deliberately foul in order to avoid the other team scoring. A lot of players get it for holding down after chasing a break but it goes the same for holding back a player about to score and also deliberately knocking on a pass (however i think that's a penalty try). If it was the other way around and Reed was holding Houston back then it would only be a normal penalty.

We just completely choked. As we always seem to do at home when it's a big crowd against a good side.

Mullen and Gidley are the two worst offenders, you can almost see the sweat breaking out on their brow when it's an important game. Unfortunately a lot stems from these two players ... we won't win a play-off while they're in important positions in the side.

People are entitled to be annoyed, that was quite pathetic and we won't feature in the eight if we play like that the next two weeks. If we won our last two games we'd be top four right now ... we sure let this season slip away the last two weeks. As is our style.

Ahh screw the season, only going to games for seasons end just for the fun of running amok. Worst second half of the season, no heart, no skill.

Apart from the result had a blast. Won $45 on pelican pete pre game at the tennis club, sat with a bunch of mates. Used my nice new rug, enjoyed having a couple drinks & having a laugh.

Using players carrying injury against any kind of opposition let alone a top 4 side is destined for failure. I said after the Canberra game I'll be surprised if Mullen played the next week. Quite obviously the bloke is playing with virtually one arm. He's not missing tackles he's not attempting them. Surely an injury free Roberts is a better option than a wounded Mullen. I have no doubt Mullen will have surgery the day after our last game. Stones starting team and use of the bench leaves a lot to be desired as it does most weeks.

Holding down players in scoring opportunity may well be a sin bin offense, bot not if you are Darren Lockyer.

On the whole a disappointing season ending performance. After Luke's diving performance getting a 10 and a goal, the rabbits must be licking their chops.

C'mon Knights. You wanted 20 000, we gave you 19 and a half and then you treat us to a standard of football I can see at any footy park on a saturday morning.
The 2 tries in the second half where our left edge just ushered them over the line was so frustrating even my 7 year old said "I just want to throw my sprite on the field dad". Can't say my Jimmy can wouldn't have followed it if he had.

I must be a terrible judge of a player because I was a bit perplexed as to why a guy like Tetevano was left out for *shudders* Cameron Ciraldo. Does he have some secret video footage of one of the directors or something?

As for the ref's, I still haven't seen a Bronco ground the ball for the first try.
From where I was sitting, I actually thought Houston may get away with the tackle on Reed but jokingly said to my Bronco supporter mate, "knowing these refs it will be a penalty and he'll probably get sent off". Even he was shocked.
I hate how we get 3 late penalties to even up the count after the game has already been lost.

At the end of the day, we needed more than a few 50 50's going our way to win that game, the boys have some soul searching to do.

That first try to the Broncos looked like a try live and on replay.

Refs had nothing to do with last night at all. As usual, if you get a 50-50 call against you (not that I thought we did) then you have to be good enough to overcome it. We never are, Gidley would rather have a whinge than concentrate on holding the opposition out.

Agree with you James on refs apart from Lockyer should have been in the bin.

The most depressing thing I find is two crunch games in a row, not one point in the second half of either game
