Agree with you James on refs apart from Lockyer should have been in the bin.

Thats what I thought. It was zero tackles and Lockyer holds down Mullen to slow down the play the ball. Should have had 10 in the bin.

But its Lockyer...who would dare to bin Lockyer?

When Gidley waas tackled a bee's uno what short of the line did he have at 3 unmarked players on his inside ? It looked like it from in front of my TV. A converted try there puts us in front with momentum instead a couple of minutes later Wow Wee gets an intercept.

I think he made the right decision, it was a pretty good tackle from the Broncos player, and if Gids wasnt shaken up by Thaiday a minute or two earlier, I think he would have scored.

He definitely blew a try, watching it live. They didn't really show a decent replay.

I misread OutOnTheFull's post, he wasn't bagging the refs as much as I thought.

Didn't really notice Lockyer's holding down, it may have been a penalty, but not a sinbinning, I don't think.

He held a player down deliberately while his team got back onside, 5m out from the line. Definitely a sinbinning. Also Houston was definitely a sinbinning too. Turning point was teh Costigan pass, I mean 8 times out of 10 that wil go to the outside players and theyd score, but this time around Yow yeh was up. It's easy to say don't throw the pass in hindsight but most of the time you would (costigan had his back to the winger for most of it). Not defending his game, he had a bit of a shocker.

Dry football and wet weather dont mix.

IMO, I think the boys would have had a more positive result it it had of been a dry one. They have been playing some grade A football in the dry weather by passing out wide to our quick guys, hugging the side line as long as they need befor putting on a side step to get out of trouble.

Another is the abililty of guys such as Aku, Mullen, Gidley and Stig to use a quick side step and instant excelleration.

Also guys who are renowned and normally very capable of bringing down men by grabbing at jumpers and pulling them to the ground. Though not something im a fan of as too many times a tackle round the legs would have done the job.

None, if any of the above works in the wet. Broncos saw that and punished us for it. Knights need to pray for blue skies from here to the end of September for any hope.

Thats just what I think:confused:
