Serious question...do you think OB sends players out without being clear on what their role is ? If this is the case then I have no idea how he is a head coach and was an assistant at storm and roosters.

I just don't think crossland is that good a player, I'm just basing it on what I have seen from him in first grade. Some players step up and other crap the bed.

Seems a fair few of our juniors end up going crap, lamb and cogger to name a few.

But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

A game isn't played with cemented roles, it could change anytime. I'm meaning in the sense of doing things they CAN control consistently well, something we lack a lot. His played minimal games with a side mentally lost. What's he to do? He's not a veteran half who can carry a side, his a young kid learning. Lamb, cogger were both guys that come through too early into teams in the same boat as us now, Mentally weak. If you see what you see that's fine but what I see definitely differs and that's fine too.

I don't know yet if Crossland has what it takes but I don't think Obi is helping him at all. He came into the side against Melbourne & took charge as main kicker which is credit to him for stepping up while Clifford goes a bit MIA. Although we all probably agree that Clifford should have been kicking with his huge boot. O'Brien said the same thing in the press conference so that's mark one that he hasn't given them clear instructions going into the game.

So then the next week against the Roosters, this is rectified, but Clifford keeps bombing it into the wind & getting terrible results. For some reason he couldn't figure it out, then Crossland gets hooked. O'Brien mentioned the bombs into the wind in the press conference, but failed to relay it during the game? What is going on?
 
I’m hoping AOB is playing mind games with the team sheet - if Pearce is in we are a chance.

Dominic Young needed to go, I’m suprised hes named Crossland in the half given he was hooked against the Roosters….I thought he would at least name Mann there 😂
 
Young is a very exciting prospect.
If I had to pick who I think will have a breakout year in 2022, it would be Young.
Him and Best both turn 20 in 13 days from now.
 
I'm keen to see Starling v Brailey. Will be interesting to see if the little general makes us look silly in the middle. Brailey will do Brailey things in which I can't complain about. Please boys just farking win! Pearce plays knights win 32-22. Pearce doesn't play knights lose 44-10.
 
IMO Young needs to play centre with a fast winger outside him. His defence at wing isnt quite there yet he takes too long to turn chase and get that big body up to speed ..
 
Whatever happens, Pearce plays or not the team has to start showing something especially in attack. If Pearce doesn’t play, and I hope he does, this will still be our best side this year. We need Ponga and Best to fire and come through uninjured

If Pearce does come in I hope they drop King or Sue and have Crossland on bench in case, still a strong bench with Klem, Crosslands, Jones and King/Sue
 
Pearce is long odds according to Toohey, quoting O'Brien.
Clifford was given the 7 jersey and told he is in charge for this game, for "psychological" reasons.
