ROUND 2 - Tigers V Knights - Sunday 12 March, 4:05pm - Leichhardt Oval

O'Brien is super progressive when it comes to the new age idea of putting smaller ball playing guys at lock, just a shame he seems so conservative in every other aspect.

I lost faith in AOB‘s selections last year.

If we lose a lot of games early in the season, at least AOB should be sacked, but you never know with the Knights managemen.

He didn’t even get a run! He seems like a pretty handy FGer to me
Kiraz was outplayed by Dylan Lucas every week, by Star Toa nearly every week, and even 17 year old Chris Vea'ila came in for a game or two and outplayed Kiraz.
You could tell Kiraz was as serious as a heart attack about his football though. I was surprised he made firstgrade so quickly, but not surprised he gave it everything when he got there.
That young winger who joined us for Ball last year, Luke Pleizner, gives off the same sort of vibe. He's going to crawl over broken glass if he has to to make firstgrade - same as Kiraz.

I look forward to his debut for the storm or roosters or broncos or …….

Ben Talty played 80 minutes at lock last week in NSW Cup, as far as I can see had a good performance. Elliott, Mann and Croker are all out. Talty is 24 years old. Done multiple first grade pre-seasons. We have two spots open and just a few injuries in we’re playing utilities who’ve never started at 13 at any level of the sport ahead of him.

I’m sure Talty isn’t the next Cameron Murray but if he’s not ready for first grade now, then when? What does he have to do?

Strong feeling it’s gonna be Zac Hosking all over again - not a world beater, but he’ll go to another club in coming years and prove to be a valuable squad forward. Meanwhile we’ll persist with a squad which is reduced to playing guys horribly out of position and/or who simply aren’t first graders as soon as we have a few injuries. We desperately, desperately need forwards who can come in and do a job. We sit on our hands and do nothing.

What is the rule with the 30 signings, cut off date, currently two spots if still counting Maps in Devel squad.
Is club hoping to pickup someone this late.
Im a bit of a Talty fan like what little I’ve seen of him, better to use a 24y/o with some experience rather than a 18-20y/o, surely we could sign him to a 1 year contract and find out what he has especially if Elliott is likely out for a while and others are not quite up to it
