That's a shame, I was looking forward to his final-ever showdown with MacDougall.
If it wasn't Sailor out it would've been MacDougall haha, maybe they both will be out.

btw Will they wear their home or away kit this week?

I cannot see us winning this game...we haven't beaten the Dragons up here since 2003 & that was a last minute try by Maddog & a sideline conversion by Johns to win by 32-30!!! Since then we have lost to them 24-22 2004, 18-16 2005, 38-12 2006, 20-4 2007!!! Wow another night game at home against the Dragons this will be 10 straight night games against the Dragons in Newcastle, anyways I will be there up the northern end seats, Dragons will probably win by something like 26-16 & just over 20,000 will be there!!!!

does anyone else think that the whole Maddog with the flu is a load of BS?, i mean he has had it like on and off for ages now, and the flu is contagious its a miricle no one else has got it on the team. Also i thought once u had it, getting it bak in the same season was minimal, but maybe its just Maddog's immune system playing up in his old age![]()

Lulia?! He was terrible against Manly!

Fans rally in support of Knights: Call to arms puts Newcastle on target for biggest crowd

THE Knights are on track to attract their biggest home crowd of the season for the game against St George Illawarra at EnergyAustralia Stadium on Saturday night.
After his call to arms in The Herald last Thursday, Knights chief executive Steve Burraston has been buoyed by the response from fans and expects that to continue when discounted tickets for the rest of the season go on sale today.
Burraston said the Knights had to increase their home-crowd season average from the current mark of 19,020 to 20,000 by year's end, or the club would record another financial loss. If that trend continued, he warned, he would consider long-term options including privatisation, mergers, moving games away from EAS or winding the club up.
By close of business yesterday, 13,952 tickets had been sold for the Dragons game and Burraston was confident it would outdraw the season-high 21,614 who attended the match against Brisbane on April 13.
"Our biggest pre-sales for a game this year was the Broncos, but it rained on the day of the game so we ended up with one of our worst game-day walk-up sales," Burraston said. "At the moment, Newcastle has rallied behind us and I thank them for that. We're about five per cent ahead of where we were at the same time for the Broncos, and about five times over what we were for the Warriors [15,489] and that was our worst to date. I'm fairly confident the people of Newcastle will continue to rally behind us, from the responses I'm getting in letters, emails, phone calls and general conversations."
Passes covering the final four and final three games will be discounted by 30 per cent and those ticket packages go on sale from 9am today at the Knights Kingdom shop at the club's EAS offices. Those tickets do not include the Dragons game.
"The amount of positive responses we've received are probably 10 or 20 times more than anything negative, and most of the negative responses are generally misunderstandings of how things are priced or what we're doing or what I actually said last week," Burraston said.
"We've really received very little to no feedback that is critical of the team, the board, the management, the coach or the Knights. It's all been fairly positive.
"What people have told me is they're really feeling the pinch, and I've said from day one that I understand that . . . and, predominantly, they're blaming that for the reason why they can't afford to buy tickets or season tickets.
"We've listened to what they've said and our reaction is to sell packages for our last four games and our last three games that will reduce ticket prices by 30 per cent."
Six teams have a bye this weekend so the Knights-Dragons game is the only NRL match scheduled on Saturday.
Dual international Wendell Sailor may be a surprise starter at EAS.
The St George Illawarra winger is on the verge of returning from a cheekbone fracture suffered last month in his NRL comeback match after a two-year ban for cocaine use.
Dragons coach Nathan Brown said Sailor's fitness would be assessed today, and the winger was some chance of earning first-grade selection for the match.
