Re Sione's missed tackles. How would those figures break down to above the waste and below the waste ? I know that sounds ridiculous but He never misses when going waste down yet misses plenty when going high. There was 1 effort yesterday where he looked very ordinary going high on Tamou but at the 3rd attempt went low and stopped him.

He will also have a short career due to head knocks with current technique.

What gripes me is Archer's men pick a 'topic of the week' and aim at it. After coming under criticism of some blatant forward passes that lead to tries by Brisbane, Manly, Chooks and Cowgirls in particular, who gets caught up in the 'crackdown of the week'? A fair pass to Lamb when leading 14-0 and he was in under the posts is called forward and the pennies are saved and go on to score.

I am wondering when Archer will look at the play the ball. There have been literally dozens of incidents where there has been no attempt to touch the ball with the foot in each and every game this year. Now kiddies three guesses for the team that will be penalised first for this atrocious offence?

They've pretty much given up on that. I would think that at this point, props who get fast play the balls without touching it with their foot are the majority now, rather than the minority.

Not only props but all over the paddock. We were the first team last year to get pinged, one of the Sims' from memory and I reckon Archer will bring it up again for a game or two.

I was worried prior to the game that we would get pinged by the forward pass crackdown. Total knee jerk reaction from the refs to start pulling up even line ball calls. They were missing massive forward passes and to compensate pull up everything questionable.

Unfortunately, ours was no forward pass and easily could have cost us the game. If we score there, it changes the complexion of the game completely. Penrith may have fallen in a heap from there. Who knows.

Our team should have been able to come back from this decision though, and even after two or three tries should have been able to rally. We couldn't.

When I die I am going to have my body preserved and brought back to life in the future when we are competitive again.

Averages: 48 minutes, 73 metres, 30 tackles. Eh.

Is he going to get much better? Do we have $4m to spend, 10/11 players to buy (5 in the top 10 highest paid)? I look at our forwards and think Dan, Sione and Buhrer are the only ones I'd be happy with (at the moment) in a team that was thinking of doing something.

I've got to add Danny Levi to that list
