I agree.I don’t want to be the loanee club. Cuck move. If he stays at Melbourne, we should look for someone else.
I meant it would be a smart move by them to get him experience.

It’s fortuitous if we get him back! All true.
It's kinda fortuitous they poached him. We sent our favourite son to the greatest academy in the country to become the best version of himself. He'd be a very confident lad as a result.
I genuinely can't see him viewing himself as a place-holder. He's the type to believe that he could make the most of the 7 jersey at Newcastle and I reckon once the dollars are officially presented, with a full-blooded pitch from the club and its staff about the immediate prospect of having a team built around him, playing with Ponga and some of the games best young talents, with a team on the up, and a rich club, on the beach with all the people he grew up with. I'd be very interested to understand how anyone in his position would turn that down to earn half as much playing in the QLD Cup to maybe do a similar thing for the Storm in 3 years time, with the only variables being some low percentage alternative scenarios
Tyran Wishart is infront of him..
If a half is slowing down physically the last thing you’d want to do is play him in the centres. He sucked at fullback the last time they tried that. He’s a 6 now until he retires.Wishart is in front of him as a 6 not a 7 I would say. Anasta manages both Pezet and Munster so he would know what the short and long term plans are for both players at the club. I am not so sure Munster will continue to play 6. I can see him moving one out to play centre which allows Pezet to play 7 and Hughes to 6. The one glaring weakness in the Storm side over the last few years especially in big games has been their centres while solid are no attacking threat.

How can he turn down an offer that can’t even be made by us until November 1st?Seems i spoke to soon. Reporting now that Pezet is likely to turn down an offer from the Knights. Perhaps we didn't put enough on the table, surely there's a price?
There’s been no formal offer, but if you think Braith and POS haven’t had an off the record discussion about numbers, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.How can he turn down an offer that can’t even be made by us until November 1st?
Very well put! I agree with all of this post. All true.

I read today Melbourne have offered Pezet a three year contract which would allow him to take over from Hughes or Munster.
It sounds like we may be urinating into the wind with acquiring Pezet.
That's why it would make no sense for him to re-sign without testing the market. He could throw away a huge chunk of career just waiting to become a starting first grader. I suspect the story is a plant to drive up his price and our desperation.LOL ask Ryles who waited for Bellamy to retire the last 5 years how that works out.
Every chance Munster and Hughes could go another 5 years, also what sort of money would Pezet get us a back up $300k-$400k tops, if we are offering $600k-$700k reported, who leaves a million on the table.
And his well behind Wishart for the bench spot.
It is actually crazy how many guys they can gaslight into sticking around longer than they otherwise would have with this **** hahaha. I know they're a great club and you'd definitely rather play in the spine for them than for a mid table team, but they have pulled the ball out of the way at the last minute like Lucy with Charlie Brown so many times and yet keep fooling people.LOL ask Ryles who waited for Bellamy to retire the last 5 years how that works out.
Also - does anyone really see Hughes retiring after another two or three seasons? He only turned 30 last week and with a late start to his career has only played 150 games. I agree, Pezet would be nuts to stick around. It is actually crazy how many guys they can gaslight into sticking around longer than they otherwise would have with this **** hahaha. They had Scott Drinkwater & Brandon Smith especially convinced those 1/9 jerseys were theirs when Billy/Cam retired. Neither particularly happy when they worked out they weren't actually at the front of the queue.
It wouldn't shock me if Munny fell off a cliff at around 32. He's a bit old school, doesn't exactly treat his body like a temple during the off season,
Has three kids under threeSo yeah hopefully he has slowed down!Got a kid now, you'd assume that would slow him up but Cam being Cam lol.
Maybe that shower slip groin situation was cover for the snipHas three kids under threeSo yeah hopefully he has slowed down!
