Backrow has zero strike. Front row will fall apart the moment the Safs come off, heaven forbid one of them gets injured.

If we are seriously moving Ponga to five-eight, then for all his haters on here, Tex Hoy would have been better at fullback then whoever we're going to put there.

Our roster management has been absolutely atrocious, no matter what spin the club tries to put on it.

Hoy was decent last year, have to wonder why we let him go when we were planning to move Ponga to the halves. Another epic roster management fail from the Knights.

Pack is a little skinny now. I think we definitely need to find another Jesse Sue over this offseason - someone at the tail end of their career and wants to keep playing on and will accept a fairly cheap deal to do it. Although I suspect there’s a decent chance of one or both out of Talty and Purcell being added to the top 30.

I think this is a reasonable pick given who we have / may soon have. Even so, that team is striking fear into exactly no one.
 
Gamble & Hastings aren't an exciting halves combo but it'd be a much more competent one than what we've fielded recently. And they're both players who bring that hard edge and competitiveness which is honestly the biggest thing we miss without Pearcey.

I reckon the skeleton of a good side which can make some positive steps next year is there if we can add Jackson. We will need a handful of other young players to pan out like Dom Young has to actually compete in a meaningful way (KPP is a huge one, so many successful sides have that match winner in the forwards and he has the potential to be that for us IMO, and we need another exciting X-factor player beyond Kalyn in the spine), but you can't really control that. But just getting a bit of respectability and consistency in the joint would be a nice first step and all I'm really asking for at this point hahaha.
 
I heard not long ago Hetherington is coming to play in the backrow...

Soooo.... if that pans out I can see Friz moving into the centre. Games he's played at lock in the past he's been excellent. I can remember him single handedly destroying the Knights one game when he was a Dragon. He's obviously getting a bit older but still has very good leg speed for a big unit.

Maybe it's time for him to move into the front row?

If we had better options at back row sure, Hethro gets one back row spot, I just don't see fitz or Jones as good enough to start each week. Fitz looks good for one or 2 games before going back into lazy ways Jones is just meh. You could move Elliot into the back row, but that leaves us starting Friz or Mann at Lock and I would rather bring them on off the bench
 
I agree Friz should be playing lock now but I think he doesn’t like it. Elliott on the other hand is keen on it. I think that will decide it.
 
LATEST: Jackson Hastings has agreed to a three year with Knights. He will start with the club within a week. David Klemmer is joining the Tigers. All parties are in the final stages of making the deal official
