Round 1 2016 Team

Best team on paper I'd go:
1. Mamo
2. Uate
3. Gagai
4. Sione
5. Ross
6. Mullen
7. Hodko
8. Korbin
9. Levi
10. Snowden
11. Rochow
12. Tariq
13. Smith
14. Randall
15. Pauli
16. Stockwell
17. Paea

Round one, due to suspensions...
4. Chanel
12. Pauli
15. Mataora

Well yeah for round one obviously. Once feeney has trained and is ready for the reposibility of fullback I'll be keen to see him in there.
As much as Mamo is better on the wing, somebody needs to play FB

You serious? Played him under the table. What an insult to Mamo. If feeney starts round 1 I'll be mind blown. You can't just jump into the boxing ring and think you're Mike Tyson. Same with the fullback position I feel. Feeney needs more experience, I feel as though chucking him in the deep end will cause more greif then good.

Mamo will definitely be playing First Grade. He's our 2nd best winger and deserves to be there for Round 1.

You must have missed mamo doing everything wrong in the trial.

He gets a free pass though, while Aku is the whipping boy.

Mmmm. From the sound of things you could have a pretty sore head :dancing:

I think Feeney did enough to get a chance - but I sort of expect he'll make a lot of rookie errors and cop a lot of hate.

Dont think so. We all know he's new in the position.
As long as Feeney continues to link to with the outside backs I'm more than happy to keep him there and put up with his errors for this season.

He will on here... We need to learn to be a little patient with some of our young guns. They don't always become great players over night. We'll be a work in progress over the next couple of years, but we'll get better as the boys grow in to a team... Canberra are a good point in case for how good squads take two or three years to develop and grow.

So we don't have an NRL side? We just play everyone in NSW Cup in case they make errors??? Food for thought I guess...

I get where dan is coming from, throwing the kid into first grade fullback, one of the most exposed positions is gonna either work wonders, or more than likely, kill his confidence and ability. Ease him into it, common sense says give Mamo or even Gagai a crack from round one and if it doesn't work by a couple weeks give feeney a run

He's had a season in NSW Cup and took his side to a premiership win at halfback. He also served a pretty good apprenticship in NYC at both the Bulldogs and Knights. Personally, I haven't seen anything in Feeney to suggest he won't back that up and do well in the NRL...

People keep talking about Brown's reputation for identifying and developing young talent. If he's backing Feeney and thinks he has something to offer, I think we should be happy to back them and give them a good crack at proving themselves.

Anyone can make errors, just have to ask Ben Hunt. I don't expect Feeney to be Billy Slater come rd 1, but by the end of the year, and with some experience at that level, I hope Brown's uncovered a quality player. Time will tell I guess.

I admit I am missing it seems only interested in scoring a try. No playmaking. Laughable bad defender and runs in for a fight. Give me Ross all day. Oops and a shrimp that gets monstered 1 on 1 in defence and dragged ten metres back by 2 people.

Canberra havent been there and still arent. They will be bottom 6 again.

All that has been in the halves. FLB is a completly different position and one he has never played before until last week vs Raiders. Guess there isn't much drama in trying him out but I can see where the others are coming from

Willing to put any amount on Canberra not being bottom 6! Think they will be pushing top 8 possibly top 6!

Ricky Stuart has never, ever improved a team in all his coaching career so I am confident in my statement, unfortunately cash poor otherwise would love to take you up on it Josh!
