Round 1 2016 Team

Not sure but I would of thought if you could get 1 or 2 big forwards drag a few defenders and bring them in then it would be very easy to get around a condensed defensive line.

Pauli was running hard but it was only taking 1 or 2 people to tackle him unlike 3 or 4 at times for other big forwards.

Will wait and see till the season proper for me but there is now a lot of hype and expectation put on him from people on this site similar to that of the eels fans when they watched him progress through the juniors.
There would only be pressure on Pauli from people on here if he actually came on here to read it and I bet he doesn't

When i said i would rather PauliPauli put on 10kg i was saying i would rather him put it on than take it off and go down to 110kg as someone wanted him to do . Staying at 120kg his playing weight would be ideal imo ...Last year we got the spoon and there were a lot of reasons for that but imo 1 of the main reasons was our pack got smashed every week , hopefully a couple of big bodies will reverse that .....

Not if he has any brains at all!

If we supporters had input according to our ideas, each year we would be minor and major premiers, completing every season undefeated with a team of champions all on $110k a year, who never drop the ball nor miss a tackle, and all well under the salary cap!

And they were all local juniors.

I remember when the argument used to be choosing which forwards would be best suited to what positions/bench and the backline picks itself, now it seems almost opposite, I imagine most people have similar forward packs in their mind when the team runs out in round one except maybe hooker.
With the exception of the halves and Mata'utia my guess is as good as any as where everyone will play.

Yeah, I asked him that as I thought he might have an idea. Feeney must be ticking all the right boxes at FB then if he's considered the favourite.

Don't know who I'd go at left centre for Round 1. Initially I thought Ross but I think Pat might be a bit more solid in defence.

It's interesting that Daniel Saifiti seems to have improved faster than Jacob in the off season and now seems to be the better player.
Jacob seemed faster and more mobile last year, which is why he was promoted to NSW cup I suppose, but in the 9s and in this trial, Daniel seems to be better in every department. I'm particularly impressed by how mobile the big guy is in defence. He was a bit slow last year.

Can't comment Billy.

Blowed if I can tell them apart and last night's numbering was a bit dodgey ~ two number 7's, two number 4's, two number 13's.
