Remember that random player?

Remember watching Carmont as a kid for Cessnock. Ended up having a great career considering where he came from.

Any info on former Knights lower grader and former Dogs first grader Kerrod Holland like junior club and high school attended etc.

That time of year again? Milton Thaiday, cousin of Sam we picked up from the Tah's handy player.

Wonder what happened to him after us.

Ol bloody slippery! Got a lot of time for Mill. As much of a ratbag he was, he tried to do his best to be a better person. Last I heard he was up in Townsville but that was 5 or so year ago.

I thought Milton retired, simply because he kept getting injured. Spent more time doing rehab than actually doing footy work and he didn’t fancy more of that. Not sure what we did wrong by him tbh.

Milton left the Knights because he was an alcoholic who couldn't stay sober at the Knights because of our drinking culture is what his wife said if I remember correctly.

That is what I was hinting at. He had stopped drinking and some of the coaching team then talked him into drinking with them and after that he lost control over his drinking.

I've got to say I always had a soft spot for Robbie Rochow....I thought he was capable of a much better career than he ended up having in the NRL.

He just never seemed to rise to the levels I thought he could.

For me it was probably a fair degree of capability but I'm not sure he had the motor to be a regular first grade footballer, which showed up as errors in his game when he got under fatigue.

Maybe it was tied to his studies, a bit like Josh King was always a bit underdone for us while he was completing his electrical apprenticeship - Chow is a degree qualified civil/structural engineer, which would have been no mean feat to get through while being a F/T footballer.

He was also always a really nice bloke on the side lines after the game who was happy to have a chat, engage with the kids, etc.
