Remember that random player?

Sam mataora. Did some good things, did some bad things. Thought he went alright.
His younger brother was a really good winger in Flegg - as tall as Sam but skinny and really fast and elusive. I expected him to go a long way, but he never has.

Was that the guy who come through with Bradman, saulo etc? I vaguely remember a winger who scored a heap of tried in SG ball and had a good wrap on him

He had big wraps on him coming through at the Raiders. Thought he was decent enough on the field but obviously off-field stuff held him back and he retired at 26 due to mental health reasons. He did come back and play in the local league at one point, not sure if he's still around. Don't remember him having a younger brother and can't find any record of one at the Knights.

Same time frame as Mataora we had Paterika Vaivai who I had big wraps on coming through, and thought he showed a fair bit of promise in the 6 NRL games he got here, but he got himself sacked and then never kicked on at the Titans. Still playing regularly for Ipswich in QLD Cup.

Game where Teva Matatora scored a hat trick.
Pretty sure I was at that game and Jock Madden and Teva Mataora carved them up in that 60 point game.
60 points in 60 minutes. One of Teva's tries was as good as any length of the field try I've seen - Uate like speed and stepping.
