Recruitment And Retention Discussion

I've come around on AOB, I think the Knights would be mad to look elsewhere.

Not only because of how thin the market is, but because of the time that's been invested in AOB and his team. The Knights have lost their aura of an easy away game. They're turning out quality junior players and developing players they pick up into better players.

Clubs are now constantly looking at our roster *cough*Raiders*cough* to see who they can pick off.

I'm genuinely excited about the direction the club is heading in.

Watch Brandon Smith go from zero back to hero under Bennett although he'll mostly play lock. Not a bad pickup. I wonder if he'll say something about the honour of wearing the Souths jersey on his pod before he finishes at the chooks....would be funny.

NRL360 taking every chance to talk down the Knights and the Brown deal...

The takeaway here if they were being objective is that Brown has no Parramatta-esq get-out clauses but has backed himself to see out the full 10 years despite club clauses for the last two...

In the end, the Knights gave Brown a bit more money and two extra years over his Eels offer, and for nothing bought themselves the option for 2 more years on the back end if they want them.

Dodd has not played a game for the Rabbits but they've already completely written him off and the same pundits who go into conniptions over players trying to get out of contracts are saying Souths should try and get out of this contract...a reminder not to pay too much attention on the rare occasion that they're talking about the Knights.
