Why do people always assume its a good thing they lived in an area previously, most people I know couldn't get dragged back to their home town with a choke chain!

Well Canberra offered him 700k a few years back so it's a bit surprising that the Gold Coast offer isn't as high. Definitely worth the coin though, Proctor that is.

From what I've heard about Proctor that run off the Cronk cut out play the Storm do and everyone falls for has made him worth more then people think he is and that the Storm can replace him with a cheaper version.
Based off what Hoffman (the old Proctor) has showed outside of the Storm at the Warriors and NSW/Australia I am inclined to agree with that.

Pass, on the suggested figure anyway

Canberra Raiders forward Shaun Fensom is highly respected within the Green Machine walls, which is why you won't catch club officials speaking publicly about the possibility of him being at another club in 2017.
However, we will. That club?
The Newcastle Knights..... It also said that Hiengton has said no to the Knights ...R-A don't believe everything you hear ....Yes to proctor if we could get him ...

Entirely agree. Although I've always thought that, he has gained a bit more respect from me over the years though as he's a decent player, but Titans are playing big overs for what they'll get back.

On Barry Toohey's article in the paper today, Jake Mamo fractured his ankle which resulted in ligament damage after being struck down by a moped on a holiday in Bali and might delay his move to Huddersfield and may not play till the end of next February.
It is also reported that we are linked to Former Parramatta flyer, Ken Sio.

I've been thinking a lot about it a centre would be good as we really need Gagai to go back to fullback. He sucks at centre to small and can use his pace and footwork at the back.

2009 Proctor was voted Rookie of the year at the storm played 7 games
2010 he played 22 games for the storm and also played in the world club challenge he was chosen for the NZ maori's side to play against England .
2011 Proctor played every game for the storm 26 matches with 4 tries and toured with the Kiwi's
2012 proctor played in the storms 2012 G/F victory after playing 23 matches for the storm and scoring 6 tries He was picked and played for NZ in 2012
2013 proctor played for NZ in the Anzac test and played 23 matches for the storm with 3 tries and played his 100th nrl game for the storm
2014 proctor played all 25 matches and played in the 2014 Anzac test and the 4 nations
2015 Proctor played in all of the Storms' 26 matches and scoring 3 tries and played for the he played for the kiwi's against Aus and 3 tests against England and also played his 150th nrl match ...
2016 Proctor played for the NZ against Australia He played 21 games this season with 6 tries ..... To get to 150 games in 5 seasons is pretty good he doesn't miss many games a year through injury or suspension ....Seems like a bloody good player too me ...

Sio would be a good pick up at the right price. I remember when he went to the ESL that there were many people saying he should have got an NRL contract, and he has proved himself a quality winger and a decent fullback option.

Refreshen my memory as to why he left the NRL/Eels in the first place?
If I remember correctly, Parra were shedding players because of one of their many salary cap crises, and Sio quickly took an ESL offer, but many said he would have got an NRL start if he waited a bit.
I clearly remember Phil Gould saying in a game call of a Parra game that Sio was going to ESL and it was a waste of his talent.

Newcastle have reportedly signed a New Zealand schoolboy rugby union star on the back of just three games in rugby league.

Ofa Manuofetoa was spotted by Knights scouts while making his debut in the 13-man game at an under-17 tournament in Rotorua this year, according to stuff.co.nz.

The 17-year-old stands at 193cm and 104kg, but played fullback for his Canterbury-based Timaru Boys' High School rugby first XV.

"I've been studying a booklet with the basics (of rugby league) which I am trying to get my head around," Manuofetoa told stuff.co.nz.

"It's pretty exciting but I have a lot to learn.

"I expect it will be tough but I will give it my best shot."

He is expected to play with the Knights under-18s before graduating to the Holden Cup for under-20s.

Not sure it is a 'massive punt' unless we have shelled out a lot of cash for an unproven kid...he sounds like a promising prospect who has got about 2-3 years in the lower grades before we will see what we've really got but I like signings like this. At least the club is using a scouting policy to look at players that will build our foundational junior stocks

so we now have 4 great prospects for the fullback spot in NYC - and this kid seems the least likely for 2017, but he might be a good chance in 2018 and 19.
