According to Toohey today we haven't yet made Bird an offer. We told him mid season that we have a genuine interest and haven't spoken to him since, but will make him an offer in the next week because his season is now over.
Toohey also said that Kosjaysyn has a better offer (more money) from Cronulla, but his family lives locally and he owns a property at Caves Beach, so the club is hopeful that living in his own house and near his family will make up for less money.
 
Let's not cry cocodile tears over missing Kosjacyn or however you spell it. Think there are better options for Cronulla to chase, but maybe the Menace's restiring has caught them unprepared. If Browny leaves Mullo at 9, with Levi and other couple of young guys as backup don't really need him. What we really need is a genuine No.1 and an experienced centre.

Billy any idea where Zac Woolford from the Raiders is going? He was in tears about being forced out of the Club after their loss yesterday.

Zack woolford is off to the Bulldogs next season, Rory I think will come here why wouldn't he if he already has a house here ?

He would be an absolute gem in our side, the Saifiti boys along with Sione, Barnett and Korbs would become better players over night with Bird leading the way.

Its about football and a team that needs help.... badly!! So call in a nutter that is all about going flat out and who wont take a backwards step in any situation on a football field.

Your Probably right he may be what we need on the field but he is definatly not what we need off the field imo ...If were going to forgive and forget then we should have chased Danny Wicks he held his own against everyone he played against this year and would be cheapish....I haven't said anything about his footy talent just that I don't think he is the type of person we need here ....Please don't talk down to me mate I know what its about and if anyone watched Luke Lewis play yesterday he was everywhere and I would take him over Bird ....
