Great effort, it really didn’t look like he’d make it at one stage. Leads through his effort every week.

Phoenix, not the best of players but a whole hearted one, sometimes his efforts are undone by trying to hard but mistakes can be forgiven due to effort.
Correct me if I am wrong is it 100 games for Knights in any grade, surely not 100 games in firsts, no matter which it’s a huge effort

This has actually blown my mind a bit reading this. I feel like he’s at least 27. Feels like he’s been around forever.

Wholeheartedly, tough and all effort in every second of the game.
All good NRL teams need a Phoenix.

Would be be a great achievement. He’s all effort and is making a real go of the 13 jersey. His style of play definitely suits lock in the current game. Might be his long term spot.

100 games of first grade … he debuted back in 2019, so this is his seventh season in the top grade!

100 first grade, didn’t think he was anywhere near that, big effort, hope he has a big game for his 100th

Wasn't a big fan of him in the 9, but ever since he has been moved to 13 his link work in the middle has been exceptional.

After 6 years and 3 positions, it looks as though he has finally found his long term role in our team.

The former forum whipping boy is now a valued player.

Shout out to Phoenix for his efforts, yesterday in particular. Crisp, sharp, fast service from dummy half. And he goes down as missing a few tackles, but a few times a big Samoan forward was on the rampage and he was the one defender between him and the try line … slowed them down enough in time for other defenders to get there.

A really special effort, I thought.

He got a 3/10 match rating in a NZ newspaper which I just think is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read.

No one appreciates the blokes lying down in the mud so the fancy lads can avoid getting their boots dirty.

The guy is all effort and is tough as they come. Had a great series and has definitely earned his starting spot for NZ.

Yeah I read on another player rating they gave him 5. The mole I think. Main criticism of him was he is not a run threat. If he does get the starting hooker role for the Knights that something Bedsy should work on with him.

Yeah he just needs to watch how blake brailey transformed his game to go to the next level just by running a bit more

I thought he had a great series. He tries his heart out every game, his delivery from dummy half was great as was his defensive effort and the lack of running from dummy half could and most likely is a coach's decision, maybe to save some petrol.
