I didn’t realise recruitment managers were only on 400k>

is there a salary cap on these sorts of positions ?
Add me to the surprised list, $500k for a top line recruitment manager like POS doesn't seem extravagant. Pays for itself many times over if you get those decisions right.

Football Department Cap: Operational expenses—including coaches, administrators, performance staff, and recruitment/scouting personnel—are capped under a separate football department limit (historically set at $5 million, though adjusted by league reviews).

First time learning about this but there is a cap on how much you can spend on your recruitment team

His job was largely done.
We have enough talent for the next 5 years and we have new systems and guys like Blair and SKD working with youth development.
I'd like him to stick around for 1 more year to tie up loose ends and get a replacement up to speed, but after that we'd be paying him to pretty much spot players we don't have a spot for.

Only? Nrl clubs aren't massive businesses. The Knights themselves are owned by a much bigger business in Wests. The average NRL CEO is only on about $500k, with the Bronx being the exception as a publicly listed company
