Deserves his own thread with brilliant recruitment turning the club around within 12 months. Obviously there's still unfinished business but the foundations have been laid and the roster and pathways is in a much better shape.

It’s been more than 12 months. This started when he joined 2 years ago was it? But yes an absolute genius. POS and Hollbrook will turn out to be the best signings the club has ever made.

He's doing a great job.
It's all about retention now that the junior pathways have been fixed.
Plus his purchases of young guns such as McKewen and Manu.
If we can continue to retain the players we need we won't need to go to market for established first graders very often.

That's how it should be for teams like us and Penrith with our catchment areas.

Most has been said in other threads, but yes this man is a genius and we have to hold onto him for as long as possible.

His work history says he will move on after 3 to 5 years - which I think is OK because we largely have the squad signed for the next 5 to 10 years and it's up to the coaches now.
His job here is 90% done and should be 100% done by the end of next year.

He said on that other podcast he did that he hoped Newcastle was the last club he works at.

He seems as good as any at identifying young talent so I hope he does stick around long term.

I think as important as he's been to other clubs he's never been handed the keys this much, so he probably now feels attached to the place.
