Official: Jacob Lillyman signs a 1 year deal with the Knights

Lillyman off the bench is good he getting older and would have good impact in short stints
Lillyman is a no frills player. He'll tackle his heart out all day, and run straight and not put a foot wrong. But he is certainly not an impact player. Hes more in the Matt Hilder mould.

Yeah Tim , I am with you his shape , being stocky and low to the ground with his output is better suited to a first 20 Min stint where the big boys soften up the targets for latter on in the game, rather than an impact player .

Posting things you hear should be OK in the forum, but it's easy to get burned.
Earlier this year I was talking to a girl who works in a local pub and she told me 3 Fijians had been in earlier and said they were all signed to play reserve grade for the Knights. She had even written down their names.
I did a web search for the names and couldn't find them, but posted about it anyway.
Probably just 3 guys scamming for free drinks or something - or trying to pick up girls maybe - but anyway, it was all bull.

Sounds like Tolman that everyone is getting moist in their pants for.

You can never have too many Matt Hilders.

The thing I really like hearing about this signing is that it is 1year? We seem so have spare cash at the moment which we may as well spend but it will be good to have that freed up again for 2019 if we want.

Where are you hearing 1 year? The article above specifically says 2 years.

"After NRL Leaks first revealed Newcastle were interested in the 33-year-old, The Daily Telegraph has confirmed Lillyman will return to Australian shores on a two-year contract that should cap off his NRL career."
