I think its a better team than probably the last 5 or 6 matches for sure. Lehroyd Lars, has done pretty much nothing in each SOO game ive seen him in, id rather have put Creagh the fairy on the bench over him. I dont mind the team, and even tho as knights fans your insulted by Gidley being on the bench, i see that position as being way more important that the fullback exclusivly. Doesnt really miss much game time by playing off the bench, but can be that roving player that suits Gidley to a tee.
Decent foward pack, decent second row options too, Bird at lock gives a little ball playing back there too which NSW need to score points. Hayne should not be picked, if it wasnt for him being a girl and would cut sick if not selected, based on form Coote would be FB for the next 5 years EASY, but the world dont work that way.
Barrett is good in defence, but i really dont see any reliable 5/8 options, let alone 7 options for NSW from any team, Soward would get trampled, Campese and Mullen are on/off like a light, you could nearly pair up Mortimer and Pearce and have as good a halves combination as anything. and who says Barret wont be here next year, he's yet to decide.
. I doubt even Dureau would like to move to Canberra let alone star players.
