Love the foward pack! Queensland will be shaking in their boots haha.
The backline will be an issue though, I can't believe that useless hack Hayne got in there. :doh:Mitchell Pearce is also going to be a liability.

Well... really what have we got to lose? The series is gone, we wont be expected to win. Why not throw the Mannahs... Snowdens in the mix?

The turnover in the amount of players weve used this series compared to QLD is where it goes wrong.
 
Meh, not really interested in this team, I just hope Kurt doesn't get hurt. How can he lost the captaincy when he tries the hardest every time he's on the field. It makes me laugh how they say players were dropped due to form when Hayne has been rubbish.

Here comes a clean sweep to QLD.

i hope QLD qin by a huge number very huge i wont be watching it, the team sucks, barret as captain is a joke
 
Considering Barrett isnt here for next year why are they picking him for captain?? I thought we were looking to the future....Selectors just contradict themselves.

4 debutants...seriously? I doubt they'd be here next year.
 
unless hayne performs he will be dropped next year. gidley hands down should be there. but im guessing the selectors are gambling it all rather than playing the safer and more consistent option in gidley. yes im bias after hayne threw that ball to lockyer a couple of years ago, but he has only scored 1 try all season...and i dont think he's set too many up... even without high standards based on last year...he's still under achieving immensely.
 
Bellamy again asked if that was the team he wanted and again cagily admitted it was. You have to ask the question if he really does get a say. You just have to look at how he coaches Melbourne to know that he has the credentials for the job, I think the selectors are the problem.

Every game we've had a different team, every game they have excuses for why the team was changed. This time around it's youth and form, next time it'll be because the grass is green and the sky is blue :fist:

bellamy is only a good coach with youth that he can spend a lot of time with. he is not an origin coach.
 
That may be true but you have to remember when he came into the job alot of players were still becoming origin players. He would have selected a team and persisted as opposed to the constant mix and match we have from the selectors as is.

Look at QLD, they've persisted with majority of the same players even back when they were losing and it's paid off. Our selectors need to bounce.
 
I actually love this team. There are that many players that are in contention, that the selectors will never come up with a team that everyone will agree with. I think they are looking at the next series with this team.

I am sure that they can make this team better but I think it's fairly solid. The selection of Snowden, Jennings, King and Gordon are very good selections IMO.
 
I'd like to think they are looking ahead but with Trent Barrett likely retiring at the end of this season then we'll be in halves trouble again next year. Jennings should have been there already and Snowden is well past due. If they lose this then you'll more than likely find that we'll have a totally different team next year as well.

yeah the selectors need to go, but bellamy gets 2 weeks with them, and then he gets a new bunch to work with. he doesnt have long enough to get anything done.
 
How did Hayne beat Gidley for FB? Gidley's obviously been better than him! :doh:

Other than that, I do quite like the side. The forward pack is good.
