NSW Cup 2026

Manu wasn't replaced all game and had plenty of running in him at the end.
It will be interesting to see his stats - 200+ metres I reckon.

Hagan is named on the bench again, but also named in SG Ball so not sure what's going on there.

Taulani is out, replaced by a mystery second-rower so far. Will find out who it is tomorrow.

Mystery player is Kepaoa back from injury. Usually when there’s a blank name it’s a new player the NSWRL don’t have in their system yet so not sure what happened there. Regardless, it’s a strong starting pack even without Hopwood and Arthur. All other than Davis could realistically play first grade this year and it’s been a long time since you could say that about a Knights reserve grade team.

Fullback is the glaring weakness. Aoake had a shocker last week but even at his best is just ok, a solid winger/centre who’s been thrown there due to lack of options. None of the Flegg players are putting their hand up. Would love to see Winter go straight to Cup after SG Ball finishes their season.

Fullback is the weakness there for sure. I wouldn’t say Aoake is FG ready nor Henderson. I agreed with Billy back with Arthur and Davis pretty well on even ground too and feel Davis could do the job in FG if needed too. DAcre also I wouldn’t say is a FG starter too. BUT I agree totally I think we have good depth here! First time in a while
Schiller better off at fullback.

Hopwood in as starting prop.
I can't remember a more impressive young pack in reserve grade.

Crouch
Davis is starting - but Diesal Hagan should play a lot of minutes
Hopwood
Asa
Manuleleua
ESL

Hola is the only old guy, starting from the bench.

Up against the giant from Scone - Jake Clydsdale

Taukamo scoops up a dropped ball to go 90m to score after a few sets defending the try line. Almost didn't get there, and he might be lucky there's no bunker to look at the grounding because he didn't look real confident.

Knights 10 - 24 Canberra at halftime

Daine Laurie is too good at this level, and is obviously trying to make a statement.
