Where does Hunter play?
 
ESL always had good potential but I feel like having the C next to his name has made him go to another level, also is playing great at lock
 
Impresssed with the talent on show today, enjoyed the game, wasn’t a classic with a few handling errors.
Think ESL hurt himself in the first half fairly early but played on.
We are good for positions 1-5, bunch of good young players with a few good players in other positions

Pretty confident was just a corked thigh, would of came off otherwise
 
Was at the game yesterday and thought the boys played composed and without any panic play. Considering we were missing a few of our full timers due to nrl call ups and injury, I thought the boys looked good.
Hunter in the halves looked a great deal better than last years options playing well with Davies at hooker who I thought put in a great stint with some good attacking plays and solid defence.
Hola was great and needed to have him on in that middle second half where the boys started to tire. Crouch coming off injury looked a little out of sorts and had some concerning moments with the trainer but got through.
Solid effort all round and hopefully that continues. Allowing growth in the right way builds confidence.

Unfortunately I thought our NRL debutant in Manuleleua missed his mark. Showed some poor defence and just don’t think he’s ready which is a shame because on looks … he’s ready every day of the week!
 
If they lose Hola and/or ESL to firstgrade I'd like to see William Bates come up from Flegg. The big redhead has been very impressive the last 2 weeks. Reminds me of Paul Bryan.
 
Am conserved that the need to win a comp that we are rushing our younger players to play Cup and firsts.
We are currently using McEwen in firsts, he should be rotating between bench and Cup along with the likes of ESL, Manuleleau etc.

The urgency to get them in firsts could be detrimental to future career.
The likes of Saulo need to be used along with Halo and Crouch need to be used in first with the likes of Hopwood, ESL, McEwen, Manuleleau playing Cup with occasional bench in firsts.
We have to be patient with our talent as well as ensure our younger potential players such as DeCoucey, McCarthy and Votano are securely signed to ensure no loss.
Some of those mentioned may not be with us long term as we sign more suitable players, props for example
Would think that based on age and desire that we will likely lose Gags and Frizell along with others, Gags seems to be covered by the likes of DeCourcey McCarthy and Hunt while Frizell is covered by McEwen, ESL and Manuleleau.
If we have a problem position on availability it’s the spine, plenty good options but settelling on best is what it’s about with Ponga, Brown, Smith and Crossland it works but injury like now has Smith a bit vunerable, no injury he is fine.
Am fine with team, Coach, finishing out of 8 but clear of spoon would have me happy but not so satisfied, rebuild takes time, am looking forward to 2027, give the Coach time, give the young blokes time and hopefully it will happen 2007/9
 
Gee i liked what i saw from young Hagan at dummy half. His passing off the ground was beautiful to watch and got the boys on the front foot.
Excited to see what he can be in a couple of years.
Also forgot there names but the 2 reserve forwards were sensational. They looked very similar. Hit hard in defense and run the ball hard.

I agree mate, Hagan is very good at dummy half. In Ball he has also been very, very good when he has moved to 13 and attacked back in behind the ruck. I think he will be a very handy player for the club.

Agree thought both the hookers in the game were great and worked well with the halves. We have some good attacking dummy halves in club coming through
 
Jacob Davis deserves a lot more credit.
At one stage he was considered the next big thing at Parra, ahead of Matt Arthur, but he had a season ending injury and got cut and had to come back to his junior club to get a run.
He's only trained with the reserve grade squad, but I still think there isn't much between him and Matt Arthur.
He was in what I thought was our best ever under 16s side in 2019 along side Jonah Pezet, Oryn Keeley, Crouch, Henderson, Fletcher Myers, Max Bradbury, Chris Veaila, etc.

Caught a few mins of Keeley playing for the Dolphins at the weekend. Looks like he’s bulked up a bit. Always thought he lacked enough size to really make it in FG.
