Whilst tempered with excitement due to Souths having many players out. What impressed me the most was how confident the team was to let the ball sing in the opening 15min. We didn't need half hr to get our mojo back, it was right there at the start and KP/Sharpe/Cogger went after it. So that was very encouraging that it they were ready to roll after 5 frustrating losses.

Jsaf had an intent to lead the way and that fed the rest of the forwards to have bigger games. KPP probably had one of his best halves in the first half, though he still has no idea how to hit a hole.

D never looked troubled and not having to defend multiple sets certainly helped the energy levels.

2 home games against rocks and diamonds opposition and then away game in Bathurst against an origin inflicted Penrith team. Big chance to turn season back around.

The Knights forwards dominated today and set a good platform for our best players to do their thing.
JSaf was excellent today and Cogger showed us he has a long kick.
The Knights were a completely different team today.
The Knights definitely need a few more strong, aggressive forwards, either from outside the club or hope a couple of our young blokes show “Sharpe-like” development over the 2025 season.
 
Intresting fact the rabbits ended up with more ball and a better completion rate than us. Its not often that you flog a team with less ball.
 
Hey everyone, just letting you know what I observed today at the game.

Quite the eye opener to be honest, I am surprised that one thing In particular that I had seen doesn't get mentioned by any of the people on here that go to the home games.

I was 6 rows back from the field so It helped a lot but again It was quite a surprise.

First off, we were playing a reserve grade team and some of you mentioned It here and the observations were spot on.

Will happily take the win though.

My biggest surprise Is how the hell Jack Cogger Is In any first grade team period.

This was the first time I have seen him play In person and his line engagement (apart from two occasions IIRC) are non exisitent.

Watching him on TV does no justice to what I just said, you have to see him at the ground to understand that as soon as he gets within 2 meters of the defensive line he passes.

His engagment Is non existent and I was shocked at how bad It actually Is.

To all those (Including myself) we have to "maybe" take back what we said about AoB this past week or two as the person who made all the difference this game was Jacob Siafiti.

I at times want to put the guy In a rocket and fire him Into the sun, but these past weeks when he stated that having pretty much our entire starting pack out was Impacting how we play, he had a point all along and we were a bit harsh on him.

Second biggest surprise Is quite literally how little we communicate with each other on the field In defense and especially In attack.

That might sound stupid considering we put on 30 points but trust me, I stayed for the two games after and I could here all sides communicating down the other end of the field every play the ball compared to us.

Ours Is almost non exisitent, It was literally Cogger calling out a play once every set.

Whatever else I can remember from our game I will put In but that Is It for now.

Yep, me and guys In row behind me were complaining about being barbequed by the sun but when It started pissing down and wouldn't let up boy did we regret It. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bulldogs by far the best defence at the moment - 100pts conceded at the moment -

We are second best with 150. Closest teams are Storm (152 and yet to play this week), Sharks (166 and no bye yet), Broncos (162, no game this round yet, and no bye) and Manly (174).

Agree it definitely sets a good foundation for the rest of the year. Especially considering our possession and territory stats - we have probably defended more sets than anybody else, and a lot of them in our own half I’d guess.

Theoretically, if we can limit our time in defence with reducing errors and penalties, points conceded would be even lower.

Looking forward to see how we turn up in the next few weeks - hopefully a bit of confidence and we see what’s possible with some go forward.
