Mooney is probably best suited to 2 year contracts. 3 years is too conformable for the bro. Some guys just need to fear something more than they fear the opposition in order to play their best footy.Mooney needs to stop being a cat and have a massive game, can't rely on JSaf to carry that forward pack.
I have been pretty impressed by Hopwood for a young bloke.
Not quite sure why so many people have been so quick dismiss Souths, are they beatable? Probably, are we likely to beat them? Probably not tbh. Only lost 2 games this season so far, have completed well in every game and have a dynamic attack, all things we've struggled with so far this season. Coupled with a fairly solid record away at Newcastle, I'm not confident even with returning troops.
Sorry, didn't really word this great. We've struggled to defend against the good attacking sides we've played (Wahs, Tigers, Roosters, Penrith)Our attack has been great.
This is crazy, no offence. Like being more scared of a wolf than a grizzly bear.I am more scared of Souths than I was of Penrith(Thought we'd get heavily beat also.) Trell is untouchable ATM.
The Mooney bashing is wild, he has out performed Saulo all but twice, he is 23 so is extremely young for a first grade prop let alone a starter, he has less than 50 games, when we bought him everyone was talking about “potential” now everyone is expecting him to be top 3 prop in the game?.Mooney needs to stop being a cat and have a massive game, can't rely on JSaf to carry that forward pack.
The difference between Mooney and Saulo is the amount of $ they are signed on.The Mooney bashing is wild, he has out performed Saulo all but twice, he is 23 so is extremely young for a first grade prop let alone a starter, he has less than 50 games, when we bought him everyone was talking about “potential” now everyone is expecting him to be top 3 prop in the game?.
If anything Saulo should step up being 27 and having over 80 games, to be honest I’d be looking to get rid of Saulo, buy a first grade prop, push Mooney to the bench and call it a day to let him develop naturally instead of tossing him as a starter and letting the chips fall.
Saulo is about peak for a prop and he isn’t doing an awful lot, so yeah I’d be telling him he can go for another club.
We could whinge and moan about a young Mooney, get rid him and having him bite us on our ***, like King and Barnett.
He is very much still in development, why are we so safe with our juniors, so much so people freak when critiquing them such as Hunt, but go ballistic when it’s a guy still in a developmental cycle in an extremely tough position nowhere near finished but not our junior.
Cant have it both ways, even now people target Mooney but don’t target Saulo, despite Mooney beating him in every stat barring defence, from metres, minutes and pcm all but twice… is it because Saulo is a junior?
Absolute joke
What's most curious is that Cant and Mooney are the same age. One is a protected species who is 'still developing' and the other (Mooney) is castigatedThe Mooney bashing is wild, he has out performed Saulo all but twice, he is 23 so is extremely young for a first grade prop let alone a starter, he has less than 50 games, when we bought him everyone was talking about “potential” now everyone is expecting him to be top 3 prop in the game?.

To be fair, Saulo would be on peanutsThe Mooney bashing is wild, he has out performed Saulo all but twice, he is 23 so is extremely young for a first grade prop let alone a starter, he has less than 50 games, when we bought him everyone was talking about “potential” now everyone is expecting him to be top 3 prop in the game?.
