NRL Round 7 - Roosters Vs Knights - 2:00pm Sunday, 19th April - Allianz Stadium

McCarthy is tied 2nd with 5 try assists in cup and tied 2nd with 6 line break assists.
James Schiller is top of the league for tries scored, playing next to McCarthy. I don't know how much more attack he would need.

I would have thought he would slot straight in to left centre as he is a left centre.

The club really wants Hunt to succeed in first grade, I'm here for it. Good to see him on the reserves though.

Keen to see alot of the young blokes get a crack this weekend. I have no worries with out attack. I am worried about how they will keep up with the pace and fatigue of the NRL though. Defence could be an issue.
Schiller defence is even worse then what De Coursey produced on the weekwnd
Just go back and watch the nsw cup game from the weekend just gone and you will see

Stoked with the team tbh.

But just trying to figure out why ESL continues to be left out, especially considering he captains the Cup side and is the best forward in that grade, including the two players chosen ahead of him for FG this Sunday.

He was great the first 2 weeks, since then he’s been solid but not beating the door down. Hola and Hopwood are both in better form, Manuleleua is probably a wash over the last few weeks but higher upside.

Clarification, not too familiar with NSW Cup, BUT, doesn’t Schiller play right wing, meaning McCarthy playing next to Schiller means he’s playing right centre so Hunts selection at left centre, Bests spot, seems normal rather than playing McCarthy out of position on left or have I got it as up, silly me

McCarthy can play both sides. He started the year well at left centre before De Courcey got called in to the top squad and he moved to the right. De Acre has been playing left.

There was a game a year or two ago where the Roosters targeted an inexperienced Lucas and Cogger all game to tremendous success. Got them out of their own end and up the field at will. Those two were both less of a weakness in defence than what we'll have there this week. Will be shocked if Cant and Smith don't have targets on their heads.

Haven’t been too impressed by the chooks attack tbh. Winnable game.
Agreed. Obviously we’ve got some big outs but they’ve been nothing special this year. Get the effort like we got in the Bulldogs game and we’re in it up to our ears.

Just put my tips in. My tipping head says Roosters. But I absolutely hate this tip. Unfortunately I can’t see us winning this game even with Brown back.

The outs are just too much.
How will that make shift left of Smith, Can’t, Hunt, Marz go? Not confident.
How will Hopwood and Manu go?
Sharpe first game back at FB is not 100%.
Brown first game back will not be 100%.
Away game.
Roosters coming off two wins, have decent form.

It does feel like the dogs game where let’s all be honest was an upset. Anyway I may just still pick the Knights as I absolutely dispisise the Rooters.

If I am the roosters I am absolutely hammering that left side the entire game.

Marky Mark is going to have a field day and I bet DCE winds back the clock..... Man I hate the roosters so much but just can't see us getting close in this one.

Good to see people's positive attitudes are back in full strength.

I don't expect a win but one won't suprise me, we won't be as bad on the edges and our young forward pack will be hungry, will that be enough to keep up with Whyte/Collins/Wong/Radley/Leniu?

If it's not, it will be a great yardstick to show what they need to get to.

Interesting to see Ramsey in the 19? If he doesn't drop out on Saturday, maybe something is wrong with Teddy - we can dream!
