NRL Round 5 - Knights Vs Raiders - 4:05pm Sunday, 5th April - McDonald Jones Stadium

Interested in how Raiders play today against Sharkes, their halves have played ok, but something seems off with that dominant forward pack, missing a few things this year.

Big game for Knights, after Wahs game, its super important we come away with a win at home for the fans.
Tapine has been kind of bad

Stats are in for reserve grade.
Francis wants his firstgrade spot back.
Played 80 minutes at second row, 15 runs for 203 metres (only forward to break 100), 2 line breaks, 2 tries, 80 fantasy points - only 17 tackles.
Francis is a monster, I always thought he is miles ahead of McEwen in terms of attack, difference being McEwen is a much better all around player imo, but I love how our juniors are putting pressure on the top side, it breeds form, I absolutely love this

To busy running to make tackles, good stats

Had a 50m intercept and a 50m try right at the end so that’s half his output there in 2 runs, the running metres stats are a bit misleading. Wasn’t one of his better games but the team as a whole were pretty flat.

Tied second, placed third overall on differential if you exclude teams that have had a bye. Really good start to the season, didn't take time for the knights to gel with the new coach at all, still a lot of increased potential to come.
This is what pissed me off about AOB - 5 years after his appointment of coach the dominant narrative used to excuse how **** we were was 'we will click into gear at some point we just need X or Y and we'll be firing'.

Holbrook demonstrated that this club and its players deserved so much better than for the board of Wests to unilaterally pleasure themselves over AOB as though the issue was with the club, as though there's some metaphysical factor holding the club back. When it was only the coach, the entire time.

*He was waiting for Ponga to click into gear and go into a purple patch

Can totally understand us still being underdogs. Canberra aren’t a 15th placed quality team. The fact is we’re still missing a lot of class in Ponga and Brown.

Will be interesting to see if our forwards can step up again. If they do we will win. My only worry is the ex knights in their team seem to turn into Michael Jordan when they verse us.
