4 games into his five eighth career, 2 of them have been really good, so yep, he definitely gets a free pass for me atm.

I've never said Sharpe will be a halfback ... I'd have thought it would be Brown, and that's what Sullivan said too I believe. But I can't predict the future, so wouldn't try to comment on it, really.

At the moment Sharpe's focus should be on becoming a running threat. Cogger should with all his experience be a capable game manager by now, both in terms of managing field position, and organising attack inside the 20. But he's far from that. That's why we've signed a player like Brown.
 
We have a real big problem not being able to change tactics and gameplan on the fly......not once did Cogger or KP look for an early kick to try and turn the dogs around and tire them out.

Just did the same rinse and repeat crap, 5th tackle bomb that has no height or depth. If under the pump the halves need to play smart and start kicking for field position, into corners and make them work hard rather than a free pass.

What I would do to have a half that could kick like Mullen used to.

Nah, I'm one of the guys that can see past the number on the back, one of the guys that can see Sharpe will be 7 or 6, Brown will be 7 or 6 and KP will be 1. That is locked in, rolled gold.

You can bang on about how he isn't a traditional halfback, but then we aren't going to be using him as one either from how things are looking.

We also don't have a traditional fullback either.

We are going to be a team that plays without a traditional halfback leveraging our 3 playmaking ball running spine players to exploit defenses and hope that works out.

You're also in here defending Cogger who is an actual halfback (or at least claims to be) and doing a ****house job of it.
 
Worst hangover ever, I should have known taking a drink every time marz makes and error was a mistake.

The incorrect play the ball really grinds my gears, he was lucky to get away with another later I'm the game, think the ref might have been feeling sorry for him.

I don't even want to go into the catching, the bloke has hands like a digital clock.

The difference is Sharpe has been very good to excellent in 15 games and had 1 poor game.

Cogger on the other has hand, has had one very good game, with the rest being a mix of bog average to outright incompetent

Yeah he’s been good at fullback and wing, I agree with that. Been subpar at 6.

Mate if you think Sharpe at 7 is going to take us deep in the finals, then we will have to agree to disagree. We need a traditional halfback asap. I know they are hard to come by.

Brown is far from a organising half too. He’s a running half like Sharpe, but has better kicking game and passing game. If sharpe and brown are our halves next year then we are doomed.

What makes you so sure he isn’t a half? You’re calling him a winger, his on the record as saying his first game on the wing was in first grade. Sharpe is so young and he is already one of the best players at the club. I will answer your question though, I’ll pick him in the 6 every game he is fit this year.

Well up until last night he was second on the MSKOTW, so it seems most people think he’s gone pretty well at 6 so far

The main concern people had with him at 6 was how he’d go defensively but he’s been fine. He’s 4 games in, this is the worst he’s going to be. He will only get better with time and with better players around him.

Has Hastings earned a call up? Last I saw him in the Reggies (which admittedly was one game a couple of weeks back) he looked pretty average. I'm all for dropping Cogs if there's a clear plan to improve to improve the team next week but if it's a reactionary hit and hope then IDK if that's a sensible way to run the team.
