NRL Round 4- Bulldogs Vs Knights - 3:00pm Saturday, 28th March - Accor Stadium

At the end of the day it falls on the head coach, imo. He chooses what to delegate, should (I would hope) be setting an overall plan, and even has a big say in choosing his assistants. If he’s lost control of the attack in his own side then that’s on him too.

Yeah don't disagree with that. Ciro will get the plaudits if they come good so the buck stops with him when they're going bad too. When we look at how we seem to be on the right track now it's Holbrook getting all the acclaim, barely word one for his assistants (even though Hales and White both have a solid track record behind them, and Bedsy is the kind of bloke who'd make every dressing room a joy to be in).

But I think it can also be true that Ciro & Gus have gotten way too cute with the appointment and that there are signs that AOB isn't doing a great job and that it could derail Canterbury's season.

Croker, seems to have progressed a fair bit but I wonder if it’s new Coach, playing a preferred role without the pressure of being dropped, might have been playing with a frightened to pass in case of error, obviously a different attitude, his or Coach or both

He threw a wide pass that Cody Walker intercepted a few years back and Souths scored off it. Possibly even in that bad run during '22? Since then he has done very little ball playing under AOB, Holbrook getting him to play to his strengths again.
