NRL Round 24 - Sharks V Knights - 4:05pm Sunday 18 August - PointsBet Stadium, Sydney.

If Maps not available surely Pryce gets a shot. I think he played well given his opportunity in firsts. Jenkins played poorly when given his chance. Mind you that was wing not is preferred center position. But Pryce should be picked IMO. Has so much more upside. Think of Ponga putting him in half spaces, and he’s got a pass on him so setting up Marz. He could not be any worse than Maps in defence.

Will be a huge challenge but excited for him, he's got ability.

Seems pretty blatant that they're trying to push Jenkins to the exit. Been a musical chairs of backline players and he's nowhere to be seen despite being healthy the whole time.

We don’t know a lot about what is going on inside the club but the treatment of Jenkins and Moceidreke seems brutal to me.

Be happy for McCarthy to get a run, his defence has been very poor, but his attack is pretty strong when given half a chance. No pace of Sharpe or Armstrong, but a good talent regardless.

Moceidreke is a weird one, as I never saw him have a shocker and he suited what we needed at the time, but how they are being treated is no worse than players that clubs don't intend to have a futures here.

I would like to know why Moceidreke was considered not to have a future at Newcastle.

Lucas named at centre. McCarthy and Jenkins named in the extended squad.

McCarthy named on bench is odd, yes he has prospects but he didn’t play on Sunday, injured??? Yet now named along with Jenkins. You would think naming Pryce on bench would cover.
Extended bench is all backs if you look at Cant and Hastings as backs

If McCarthy comes in I'd put him on the wing outside Gags and move Sharpe to centre. Kyle would defend better on the right wing where he has played some games this year than the left centre where he hasn't been playing. Sharpe doesn't get nervous - he'd do his job anywhere.

Pryce had trouble defending at 6

Centre is the apparent hardest spot to defend so I would trust Jenkins there 10x Pryce as Jenkins been at centre 3/4 of year in NSW cup

If they want Pryce there then spend the last 4 weeks playing him there in NSW cup

But all season training at 6 or 1, can’t in a must win game wing it and throw him in deep end otherwise he would get ridiculed and run out of town by all the same people who have done it to Jenkins,Maps,Tuala etc after a poor game also

Left centre is a real problem with Best out injured, Lucas tried, did ok to good, more a 2nd rower, but then injured so in comes Mapapalangi with a not so good history, played not so good but out injured, possible return by Lucas but injury doubts, so cover is McCarthy with potential but poor form in defence, or Jenkins untried in firsts as a centre or Pryce who has shown possibilities but defence is doubtful.
Best out, Lucas best option, Mapapalangi so so in defence, McCarthy so so in defence, Jenkins on outer, defence? All looking at playing inside Marzhew who at best is a reluctant defender.
So what is Sharkes attacking coach thinking and considering, Crosslands and KPP are going to be busy

Think Su’a is his own worst enemy, prone to silly mistakes, gives away penalties but potential is there, needs to play good hard footie, mistake and penalty free needs a good steady mentor, prone to Mr Tough Guy rather than Mr Football, might come with maturity
