Makes zero sense that Hastings is at 13 when his been dropped to work on his game according to the club.

I fully agree with this.

The big question is who are the Knights going to replace him with?
Think they’ll be hoping they can get Pezet. Maybe they’re testing out Crossland as a back up plan if that fails? Can’t see why else they would be playing him there when they seemed to be making him the 9 going forward

If the plan is to get Pezet for 2025 when the Storm have no reason to release him or to play Crossland at 7, then the plan is very bad.
Guess we just have to sit back & see what happens . If Crossland can make his tackles , put up a decent kick & bring a bit of enthusiasm to the other guys , he is already ahead of what Hastings & Cogger have delivered . We are not going to beat Penrith anyway & you know Crossy won't leave anything on the field however he goes. Got to admit it has got a Cant to the centres feel about it !

Crossland and Gamble have pretty similar skillsets in the halves IMO. Neither are massive playmakers.
In most teams I'd say that is a halves pairing that couldn't work, but our main playmaker has bee a guy named Ponga for a few years now, and he's still there, looking to take control on the 5th play.
If Crossland and Gamble both play with a lot of energy, defend strongly, kick competently and leave Ponga to do all the classy playmaking - that could work. It's basically what we were doing when we won 10 straight last year.
Two guys on 300k or whatever doing all the hard work and letting a guy on 1.4 mill swoop in and take all the glory.

Disgraceful by the knights playing Hayden Sutton on the wing in cup over Laitia Moceidreke.
Part time local league who has been ordinary in his bast few performances for Macquarie over Full timer. and I thought Moce has been knights cup better players. Just shows there dirty tactics to get a player out the door early.

By no means personal relationship with Moce but disgusted in the Knights management of this situation. There happy for him to play Local league on a fulltime wage…

I wondered when he was dropped if there was more to it like maybe bad attitude at training etc as he had seemed to be performing decently on field
We don’t seem to be able to put players on development deals and make it work.

Hopefully that changes with the current group of young players coming through

It’s kind of what it looks like with Hastings being pushed to 13 in cup as well. The attitude seems to be, “well we won’t face the music head on and have an honest conversation about where this guys future is so let’s make life miserable until he removes himself, that way we don’t have to lose sleep about being gutless dogs!” 🍾🥂🎉

I was forced out of a job just like this so I can sympathise.
