So Penrith will be going two passes wide and turning the ball under to a backrower going against the grain who will then use footwork to skip across one or two defenders. They'll do it all day. Obviously, the idea is that the middle forwards have to do a lot of work chasing and then tackling a pretty fleet footed backrower going back the other way, creating a lot of short and long term fatigue in our middles. They are the best team in the comp and this is their modus operandi. So much more effective then one out hit ups by our middles. My question is, how good would Lucas and KPP be using footwork coming back against the grain like that? We have the fire-power to emulate the best, why not use it? (I don't mean for today, I mean as the basis of our attack going forward)
