NRL Round 22 - Knights Vs Broncos - 7:35pm Saturday, 1st of August - Suncorp Stadium

Is a worry game, thinking with our current injuries and possibly not having Ponga and McEwen back we will struggle. Our combination of Smith and Sharpe, first full game together in halves?, will be a worry also.
Think Broncos will come out with the attitude of nothing to loose, toss it about and that might be a bit hard to handle for our young and slightly inexperienced side.
Hope I’m wrong, make that very wrong.

Broncos have won one out of their last ten? Not saying we should take them lightly, but it would be incredibly disappointing to lose to them. Especially when we’ve been pushing top four sides to the wire.
The one game they won came right at the time that yet got their injured stars back tbf. Broncs have been woeful but the team that will take park against us has played very few poor games.

They are the reigning Premiers yes. But before that, the Broncos missed the finals after a 2023 runners up. Historically when things are going well they're near impossible to beat, but when things aren't going so well they throw the towel in.

Penrith was their big "statement" win, and I reckon there's enough ego in that side to think that from there on in it would just be smooth sailing.

I think even without Ponga and Brown, we deal with Walsh and Staggs (who Braddy should have no issues marking up on) and we're a good chance of winning easily.

Nothing will be better than beating them at Suncorp with a severely under strength side.

Knights 13+. I’ve been too sad the last three weeks, the last thing I need is a fourth kick in the twig and giggleberries from the gods of this game.

I don’t think KP plays, to take on the Games after this one will be imperative to sneaking into the finals. So long as we get KP, Saf, McEwen back and realistically Gags. Hopefully Gags is well rested and finishes time off well. Would be great to win this game but I’m not holding my breath. We need troops back.

Crouch is back I tink. From what I heard he was just ill.

Was Dom sick too? Saw at the start of the game the trainer running on and giving him some tablets. He looked like he was struggling a bit for most of the game, was wondering he was crook too

Really not sure what they were thinking letting KP play 3 games in 9 days?
This isn’t a new situation, at a certain point they can’t be surprised.
Surely they need to start getting better at managing these things, especially given how important he is to the team.

It looked like he might’ve lost a contact lense and the trainer brought on a spare. Anyone can confirm if Dom wears contacts?
