NRL Round 18 - Raiders V Knights - 4:05pm Sunday 7th July - GIO Stadium Canberra

NEWS!

This is the plan to bring Sharpe into the game. Hastings will go to 9 to relieve Brailey and Sharpe will come in and play halfback.

May change though
Holy crap. Seriously, are you AoB…? This is how you get such sensitive info. You just decided then that’s what you’ll do and then post it…..😂

Must have a lot of faith in Sharpe’s ability to fill in such a pivotal role. Looking forward to seeing how old Jacko goes at 9.

No I am not AOB but I probably should delete before Canberra officials read this🤣

Defo. @jamesgould may have to introduce a “vault” thread that can somehow keep out the enemy.

I think I read somewhere that Sharpe spent most of his junior days in the halves. Just wondering where we see this kid fitting into our strongest 17 with all hands back on deck

I'm surprised, I thought he'd just be playing in that middle role, Kurt Mann/Connor Watson, that was mentioned a few pages back.

Seems like an interesting experiment though, I'm always in favour of innovation and trying something different, so let's go!

Yeah.....Adzy can't win - either too conservative or not trying to push the envelop enough?!

If he'd gone a week or 2 earlier (by many of those 'in the know' reports from in here) with Pryce making his debut , it might have ended in disaster for him, his confidence and the team (and for the record, Pryce still has a long way to go to be a regular first grader)

I'm happy to see that:

1) we are really developing the cattle in the lower grades to put pressure on first grade players to perform and look to being more creative, and
2) that we are looking to use the depth to give next man up a chance to compete and improve the competition for spots and the overall performance of our NRL squad as a team

Dare I say it, but we are actually starting to look more and more like the Storm system as the season progresses:eek:

Think it makes more sense than using him,, Sharpe, as an fwd elsewhere if not needed for f/b he has at least played at 7 even if a few years back.

Pryce came into first grade off his best game in NSW Cup from what was said here, and against the team coming last (even thought the Eels have been good recently). That’s the textbook way to introduce a new player to first grade, in my book. I think he timed his debut nicely.

Going by this website Jacko has played hooker once and won twice. So he must be pretty good at it!

Hey mate, when I used the word “champ” it was never meant in a derogatory way. I view champ and mate as the same. I guess you can call me old school.
Anyone else immediately see the undertaker on the top rope when someone says old school?
