Not a great Knights victory, but considering the outs, positional changes, not much going right for the Knights with the bounce of the ball and coming off a bye, I'll take an ugly win every day of the week.

Really great efforts from Manu, Cant, Crokes and Smith.

You hear, “a wins a win” but bloody hell. I hate that we almost lost to a team that was worse than us last year.

If Newcastle want to challenge for a premiership they need to be a whole lot better than that. Our defence stinks at the moment and the dumb mistakes are giving the bottom feeders are a proper sniff.

I don't see why we can't go hey boys our d under O'Brien was pretty steely, let's keep that structure but fluzz our attack up a bit which they clearly have.

Attack was **** tonight.

That was the story of the game for me. Just threw nothing at them after the first 15 minutes and it snowballed from there. Think the only mistake we made in the second half was Mooney right at the end, and we barely managed a single try.

A lot to work on, but we got the two points. A few people correctly flagged it as a danger game and credit to the Dragons, I thought they played really well. Threw a lot at us in attack and also made almost zero errors.

Hopefully Ponga, Lucas and McEwen can bring back some energy to the side next week. Not much we can take out of it, but we got the win.
