NRL Round 14 - Storm V Knights - 2:00pm Sunday 9th June - AAMI Park, Melbourne

Why can't we fight like we did in the last 10 minutes every game? If we came out like that and put points on early confidence is way up. Rather the trying to drag back deficits every bloody game. Our 10 week streak was based on hard fast over ad line play.

Don't usually question the refs, but i feel like we were hard done by there. There were multiple times they were offside on kick chase and just completely ignored. Saw two times with Wishart, one where he was literally 5 metres in front. Melbourne were allowed to get away with everything in the ruck. Hughes should have been binned at the end.

Great effort, despite the loss. Thought we were the better team.

Impressive effort to fight back after being on the end of some atrocious reffing. attack looked much better and thought Hastings had one of his better games in attack. the depth to the attack looked strong at time and caused some serious headaches for Melbourne.

The half time try was a killer. Had done SO well to defend the line like they had.
Their last try where there was two 2m forward passes that weren't picked up is just diabolical. That cant be acceptable.

Cogger looked like he did a groin and I though Crossland looked strong at 6. He'd be my replacement if required.
Big up to Jsaf and Leo in second stint, they turned the game around with line speed and some massive runs!

Disappointing to lose but I'm proud of them fighting back. Onto next week at a packed house and finally no rain against defending champs. All chances in the world to win it at home.

SO happy for Sharpe, thought he was superb for his first game. He looked gassed at end, but he handled one of the best field kickers in Hughes very nicely.

Undisputed truth.

This is how teams like the Raiders play every week and they do it without some deep and meaningful reason to do so, as we seem to play to above 80% effort.

I don’t get your thing with the Raiders Les, they’ve been remarkably similar to us, except their bad losses have been even worse than ours. Not sure they demonstrated a lot of ticker in shipping 40+ twice this year.

Didn't get to watch the game, but reading the comments my take is,

- We got hammered by the ref (as expected because it's Melbourne)

- There was effort but also some stupid things.

- We need new wingers? Lol

Lopsided possession advantage for most of the game and every moment that could go either way favouring Melbourne (and full credit to them, a lot of the things that go their way are because *someone* is usually there with an extra desperation effort) determined the game.

When we finally got a bit of ball and momentum it was all they could do to hang on, Leo and Jacob totally dominant in their second stints and a lot of Melbourne’s forwards looked way more gassed despite all that had gone their way.

Very promising signs from Kai & Lucas. Need to extend both and those two + Frizell probably all need to be in the starting lineup whatever form that takes.

Overall a huge improvement, big debut by Sharpe, strong game from most, Cogger and Hastings best game together, wingers a bit up and down, Gags and Lucas very good, pack strong with Crosslands starting, Jones and Croker best of bench, Brailey disappointing, prefer he played first 20mins then Crosslands for as much as can

I admire the Raiders. I'm not saying they're as resilient as the Storm, but for a team with an average roster, everyone plays to their potential. And they do it most weeks.

Look at last year's finals. They had a couple of their most important players missing and it was Knights discards who nearly ended our season. Only capable in the green jersey it seems.

If Leo and Jacob ran the ball as hard as they did in the second half a bit more often, this team would have less problems.

Would like to see Leo use the ball more. He’s got a such a nice pass on him, long and short ball.
It’s a great late-in-the-game long spiral. No one sees it coming
