NRL Round 14 - Knights Vs Storm - 6:00pm Friday, 5th of June - AAMI Park

I dont blame Klien for this loss but my god he let A LOT go in this game..

We made so many mistakes today and we still went toe to toe with the storm, even if they havnt had the best year it still has some of the best players in the game and we held our own and we kept it close all game which is something we havnt done in a long time.
I actually think this game shows how far we have come.

Look we keep letting in soft tries. If we fix that up we win easily, even with the refs against is. We are tracking ok.

Well on the plus side didn’t play that great but still almost won. Storm won’t be happy conceding 30 to us when we had no ball in their end

Storm completed at 90% us 71% that’s the game there. Hold the ball a bit more and we win

Definitely one that got away, but going blow for blow with the Storm like that in their backyard was a decent effort. Give away a few less gifts and take a few more chances (Hunt passing into touch, Lucas' double movement) and things look a lot better.

Hope we learn from that one, I think we will.

Pretty pissed with this performance. First half ref was ordinary second half ref let stuff go so can’t complain but we literally HANDED Melbourne this. Yes it’s Melbourne but I would incredibly disappointed if I was Holbrook

Not the end of the world and don’t think we really learnt anything new that we didn’t already know. This team isn’t a strong defensive team nor strong enough in the forwards to grind out wins, and most likely will not be this year. Anything they accomplish will be on the back of their attack which is very good, even on a bit of an off-night. Put themselves under too much pressure to overcome with red zone errors and still almost did.

Certainly not his fault for the ordinary defence but that Ponga to Marzhew pass was the turning point. We were running them ragged at that point.

Great attack but we aren’t a top 4 team until we switch on in defence and cut the errors out. God they are costly

True but the errors are becoming something of a concern because they seem to be intrinsic to the way we play..

100%. That is my point. We played a team that has reached their level again and we let them have it. Put another way, I think the Knights are arguably a better team now than a top strength Storm - and we ultimately let them get away with the win.

Well we gave the game away with three very costly mistakes in our own end, gotta be somewhat happy that it only came down to two points. Young and Marz mate why is it when I put you blokes in my multi you guys decide to not score.

True but the errors are becoming something of a concern because they seem to be intrinsic to the way we play..

Balance is just a bit off. You can’t just not make errors but some of them reek of a poor understanding of game state.

Yeah Klein frustrating in first half. Knights blew it second half. Can’t blame the referee for those errors or that defence

I was on her side for the 2016 final. The other ones I took a bit of joy. But as she reminds me. When was the last time we played in a gf. I still hold on to the fact we’ve never lost one though

Absolutely, I didnt mind him putting it away but you have to be so careful with what gets let go because were some shockers tonight.
