NRL Round 13 - Knights Vs Eels - 3:00pm Saturday, 30th of May - McDonald Jones Stadium

Article in the Herald this morning (Max McKinney article) says it takes 12 or 13 wins to make the finals.
At the halfway point of the season we have 7 wins, so need 5 or 6 more to make the finals.
Says we have 13 more games.
We have 7 home games.
We play 5 sides currently in the top 8 and 8 sides currently outside the top 8.
Says we have 2 more byes and need to improve our F and A to have any chance to get in with only 5 wins.
In short - we might get in with 5 wins - we should get in with 6 wins - we will get in with 7 or more wins.

I'm not claiming to be a Math's professor, but when did Rd 12 mark the seasons halfway point 🤔

So the firstgrade training today have Hunt, Cant, Schiller, Manuleleua, Hopwood, Graham

Reserve grade training today, De Courcy, McCarthy, Crouch, Votano

Article in the Herald this morning tips the Knights to name an unchanged side, with decisions to be made on SOO reps after the SOO game.

I assume that means we can name a few extra players.

Article also says Jones is back training, which leaves Best as te only player not training for now.

The main focus of the article is on Dylan Brown playing his 150th firstgrade game and playing against his old club for the first time.

So the eels will be without Moses and Paulo. Two massive outs for them.

Personally I think we should rest Ponga and Jsaf. I liked the idea of having them 18 & 19 if they are available to play. Use them only if break the glass moment.

I’d have Sharpe at FB and Hunt in the centres. I liked the shout for McCarthy but if he’s was not training with FG then you have to trust the coach’s judgement with Hunt.

Stoked Brodie Jones is back training. Good extra option to have for forward rotation. I don’t know who comes in for JSaf. I’ve heard both Hola or Crouch thrown up. Or Hopwood?
