Newcastle Knights vs Sydney Roosters @ EAS Stadium

I think it would definitely reduce the injuries! Maybe don't start later, but have weeks off for the test and the three origin matches - 22 rounds.

A lot of the injuries are wear and tear, look at how Buderus has been playing with his achilles thing all this time. Less games means more time to recover and rehabilitate during the year.

I also agree with what Brian Smith said at the press conference, that there should be a minimum of six days between matches. So if you play Monday, your next game will definitely be a Sunday.

I think the boots, fields and the techniques in tackles as well as the conditions all play a major part.

Players hit harder these days, might put on a right foot step in dry conditions but not get away with it in wet conditions.

Those all play a part, but reducing the comp will improve it ... just not solve it.

If we went back to the old training regimes there would be less, but you are not going to convince 16 coaches to hold back on their weights training.

Edit, Goal was converted.

Shillington is a Prop so I hope it wasnt soft defence that leaked the 6 points
