so why hasnt Dane been moved to the wing if they now know he cant tackle?

I think that's crazy talk. The kid has enough skills and vision to make a good fist of playing 5/8 or fullback and I suppose he plays a similar style to the named players, but I don't think he's even outplayed Heath Gibbs so far this season, so O'Brien is going off a bit early with the big comparisons.
 
Squad has been reduced.
They dropped Randall, Johns and Hunt and kept Sue and Keeley.
Keeley was named nowhere but the firstgrade extended squad, and they did a little video about him mid week that really sounded like he was close to debuting.

Keely will be monstered in grade. Hope he proves me wrong though.

He's clearly way stronger than Flegg opposition, but only average in reserves.
I think he could do short minutes in firsts, but just 15 or 20 minutes to get a feel for what he needs to be able to do next year.
 
So when was the last time we debuted a kid who started the year in SG Ball?
I can't think of anyone.
Sione was young enough, but already playing Flegg that year.
If Keeley runs out for firstgrade he will have played a full season of Ball, half a season of Flegg, 2 games of reserve grade, under 19s SOO and Firstgrade in the same year.

We are real desperate for some decent back rowers outside of Frizz.
 
Hope he gets more than last 5 minutes of game. That seems to be AOB thing. Can’t be good for him to go on when team is well behind and other blokes going through motions to finish off the game.
