It very well could be, this year is shaping up to be a very similar year to 2006 lets have a look at some of the stats that may suggest this.
1. Beating the Raiders in Canberra.
This is something that untill Round 7 this year, we had not done since 2006.
2. Scoring 50 points in match is also something we hadnt repeated untill just this past round.
3. Winning 4 in a row, well we havent done that this year but we easily could.
Now i dont have to tell you all that in 2006 we finished just one game away from the Grand final. I know these all just meaningless numbers but could this be possibly leading to another great result.

Well hate to burst your bubble, but we were eliminated in week 2 of the finals in 2006....

Also, of your 3 stats, only two have happened (and now you've mentioned the 4 in a row, it wont happen )

Also, If i partied like it was 2006 I wouldn't be able to drink Alcohol legally, which means I'd be a pretty boring guest haha.

How about we party like it was 1997 or 2001. A much better party.

I remember my best friend who had never seen a game of league before came round to watch that with me ... what a disaster that 50 point shellacking was haha.

i know 4 in a row probably wont happen because i cant see us beating the warroirs in New zealand anyway and huh really i didnt know that we were two games out in '06 i was only 12 then so im just going off memory.

Ahh 2006 - For some reason I've never once forgotten about Brian Carneys try from a kick in that home semi. Everyone was going bonkers in the top of the stand, then it went silent as he was fighting with it 1m out, then he fell over the line and the whole place went bat**** crazy.

One of the stranger tries scored in the NRL no doubt. Reversed over the line from about 10m out with a player on him.

If it was a 1997 repeat, we'd look so stupid, bringing in Bennett, and dropping the premiership coach back to assistant:P
