There's loads of reasons selectors make their decisions, form is just one of them.
He's got the most utility value out of all the contenders which is what swings it in his favour. However, as a Kiwi, I can't say I shake in my boots thinking of him coming off the bench. I'll be happy for him if he makes it, though!
I just don't think he deserves it at all, there are plenty of others players who have outplayed him, and deserve to come off the bench more than him.
Who is a better utility than kurt?
We don't need a utility, we did fine against NZ with Robbie Farah. The Australian selectors are in a love affair with a player that hasn't even played 5 games yet.Who is a better utility than kurt?

I don't think it will make a difference who has the bench spot. Farah and Smith are both 80 minute players, so I couldn't see the point of taking Smith off for Farah or vice versa. Another bonus for Kurt is that he can kick goals.
Yeah, that was pointless when that happened. A player like DCE is stupid too, as we saw when he didn't get on the field in last year's Anzac test.
You definitely need a utility, or else you might as well only name a 16 man squad.
