Knights Injury and Suspension Updates

Just updating your post according to head of Medical Craig Catterick

Sauaso Sue - Shoulder - Round 4
Jack Johns - Shoulder - Round 8
Bailey Hodgson - Elbow - Round 12
Hymel Hunt - PCL - Round 12
Jayden Brailey - Achilies - Round 16
Edrick Lee - Foot - TBA
Daniel Saifiti - Tibia - Round 2-3
Brodie Jones - Quad - 2-3

Crazy that round 1 hasn't even kicked off and we have 7 from our top 30 (don't even have 30 yet) already injured. It's hard being a knights supporter.

Thanks for this!

No update on Lee, like to know when he is available

Let’s be fair dinkum, only 3-4 are first grade possibilities, yes rest are good back ups but our recruitment has been poor.
When does having to have 29 on books come into play, by my count we are short 1 or 2.
Big loss Dan and Brailey likely for extended time along with Hunt and Jones

I watched the physio report on the website and guess what. No mention of Edrick.
From what I have heard unofficially he may not play for 4-6 weeks, and that is a big IF
I wonder if there comes a point if he isn't right by a certain point in the season if he might look at medical retirement, ala Blake Green.

Right now we need him in our 29/30 squad unless someone can explain things my understanding is we need 29 in squad plus development by commencement of round 1, failure of this could (???) incur Penalties then 30 player must be signed by a later date.
We seem to be short 1 or 2 at the moment, if so what are we hearing about signing or upgrades to meet this requirement or am I confused

Don’t think there’d be any need to do that when he’s on a one year contract.

Greeny was only one a 1 yr deal wasn't he? And it freed us up a spot to pick up Clifford later in the year. I just mean if it's still that much up in the air when the bloke is going to be back I wonder if there will come a point when he might look at it if it doesn't look like he will get back.

Nah some where he was interviewed and said in a couple of weeks, probably just being as safe as possible especially with the injury to hunt

They wouldnt sign him if he wasnt ready

Brailey - on track for June
Hunt - on target for round 4
Hodgson - around June
Jones - round 3
Sue - round 3 or 4
DSaf - round 2 or 3
Johns - round 7 or 8
Fitz - should be good to go

No mention of Lee, but see he was training with the squad earlier this week

I notice Saulo is named for reserves.
He doesn't get many mentions.
I don't think he impressed enough and fell behind a couple of others , i could be wrong but that's the way it seemed to me . Nobody was raving about him like most are about Thompson .

Geez - to be 2 and 0 and top of the table after 2 rounds and having to figure out who has to make way in the next 2 weeks for some of the returns from these 1st choice players....dare I say it, we seem to be building a club that is developing the capability of competing and sustaining a place in the top half dozen sides of the NRL competition - somewhere in the back of my mind I can hear Daryl Kerrigan's voice ..."Tell him he's dreamin'!"
